TAKE KRISHNA AND YOU WILL BE HAPPY
We want to be happy, with so many ideas. Everyone is making his own idea. But the rascals, they do not know that, what is the actual process for getting happiness...that is Krsna. That they do not know, na te viduh svartha-gatim hi visnum durasaya ye bahir-artha-maninah [SB 7.5.31]. You can see in your country, they are trying so many things, so many skyscraper buildings, so many motor cars, so many big, big cities, but there is no happiness. Because they do not know what is missing. That missing point we are giving. Here it is, "You take Krsna and you will be happy." This is our Krsna consciousness. Krsna and the living entity, they are very intimately connected. Like father and son, or friend and friend, or master and servant, like that. We are very much intimately connected. But because we have forgotten our intimate relationship with Krsna, and trying to become happy in this material world, therefore we have to undergo so much tribulation. This is the position. IT’S SAID THAT THESE VEDIC HEALING MANTRAS CAN EVEN CURE DISEASES.
There are many different approaches to curing diseases of various kind. From doctors and medicine to healing mantras, the number of approaches to curing diseases is long and diverse. It isn’t for us to say which type of cure is right. Some will believe in medicine where others think medicine is evil. Some will believe in various spiritual practices which others may think are absurd. The best approach to curing a disease is surely an open-minded one, an approach in which we are willing to try various types of cures in order to find the right one. One of the approaches to curing disease which is popular in India is the use of mantras, which are words or phrases that must be recited a certain number of times in order to work. Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare…
Once you’ve hear it you’ll never forget it. You may not know what the words mean–nevertheless there’s something captivating about the Hare Krishna chant. Is it the catchy tune or the fascinating way in which the words are repeated and reversed? People who chant Hare Krishna say both contribute to its appeal. But they know that the secret of the chant’s attraction is the quality of the sound itself. Anyone can take three words and make a song out of them, combining them in a cleaver way. But can that concoction be meditated on all day and all night? Would the chanters of those words report, as do the chanters of Hare Krishna, that the practice is freeing them from anxiety, opening up their minds to a liberated view of themselves, and investing them with blissfulness? No, of course not. The invented litany would only drive its creators to distraction. But the sound of Hare Krishna is so enriching that a whole culture has been founded on it. Furthermore the people who chant Hare Krishna are developing good character, gaining knowledge of both the material and spiritual worlds, and helping other people to be free from pain. There is, then, a special quality to the sound of Hare Krishna. What is it? The words Hare, Krishna and Rama have a special quality because they are seeds of spiritual consciousness. They are not a product of an earthbound language changing through the centuries. They are names of God, as ceaselessly energetic as God Himself. When you pronounce these sounds, you are propelled into your eternal position as a particle of spiritual energy, a person living in a transcendental nature. Hare Krishna reveals to you the person you really are. krishna.org/hare-krishna-hare-krishna-krishna-krishna-hare-hare/

”Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna
Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare
Hare Rama, Hare Rama
Rama Rama, Hare Hare.”
This mantra is considered as the maha-mantra of The Dark Age (Kaliyuga). Kaliyuga refers to the present era of machine, where truth, the level of consciousness, and morality are at their lowest level. Moreover, it is considered that by repeating daily this amazing mantra with devotion and faith, one can achieve Moksha (spiritual salvation) and inner peace. Lord Vishnu is the supreme reality and both of his incarnations (Krishna and Rama) are ultimate. They have reached the de-facto status. Daily repetition, with a pure heart, of these sacred names, in itself, is considered auspicious, beneficial, and favorable. These holy names are derived from ancient Indian texts of knowledge called Vedas. The first mention of this healing mantra is in the Katha Upanishad, compiled thousands of years ago. The Katha Upanishad belongs to sacred Vedic literature. The mantra is extremely potent and useful for all the mankind. More importantly, this Maha Mantra is capable of dissolving our bad habits and negative emotions. By chanting it, you become free from all anxieties and inner fears. As soon as you start to recite this soothing mantra a complete concentration, you can feel the mending effect immediately on your mind and body. After the practice with this mantra, we have seen many examples of this in our lives. For example, meat eaters become vegetarians, drug addicts become clean, the desperate find hope simply by reciting this mantra with a positive intention. Also, practicing this Sanskrit Maha mantra wake us up spiritually and connect us with Divine. mantrasmeditation.com/hindu-mantras/hare-krishna-maha-mantra/

What does the Hare Krishna Mantra mean?
The mantra is a spiritual call to the Lord, meaning, “Oh energy of the Lord, please engage me in the loving service of Lord Krishna.” Who is Krishna?
Krishna is a name of the Supreme Lord, or God. It means “the all-attractive person.” And “Rama” means “the source of all pleasure.” Each of us, KrsnaOnChanting every living entity, seeks pleasure. But we do not know how to seek pleasure perfectly. With a materialistic concept of life, we are frustrated at every step in satisfying our pleasure because we are constantly being told to enjoy through our bodily senses. To enjoy real pleasure, one must first understand that he is not the body but consciousness, or the spirit within. Why chant Hare Krishna?
The Hare Krishna mantra is a spiritual sound vibration, which is like nourishment for the inner-self. It allows us to associate with Krishna directly because Krishna is not different from His name. That God’s names are transcendentally powerful is celebrated by all religious traditions (example, “Hallowed by Thy Name”). Everyone knows that a happy life requires good health. A proper diet, adequate exercise, and sufficient rest are necessary to keep our bodies strong and fit. More important, but less well known, is the inner-self’s need for spiritual nourishment and attention. If we ignore our spiritual health requirements, we become overwhelmed by negative material tendencies like anxiety, hatred, and loneliness. The potency necessary for developing complete psychological and spiritual fulfilment is already present within everyone. It must, however, be uncovered by a genuine spiritual process. Of all such authentic processes, India’s timeless Vedas tell us that meditation on the Hare Krishna mantra is the most powerful. The power of transcendental sound
It may be somewhat surprising for the average Westerner to hear about the power within the vibrations of mantras, but the potency is real. For example, any numerologist will tell you that by associating with particular sound vibrations one becomes influenced by them. According to the predominant types of sound vibration people associate with through T.V. and radio, or in reading articles in magazines and newspapers, they become attracted to certain things or drawn towards certain viewpoints. When television shows, songs on the radio, stories in magazines, and advertising everywhere propagates the concern for temporary sense pleasure, then people lose their interest in their spiritual goal of life. They simply become absorbed in the mundane thoughts of whatever type of sound vibration that enters their consciousness. The mind is especially affected by the kind of sound energy it picks up or tunes into. By chanting the Hare Krishna mantra, it helps re-direct the minds attention to Krishna, and our loving relationship with Him. The soul by nature already loves Krishna, but that relationship has been covered over by the material energy. The spiritual potency of the Hare Krishna mantra can help us to revive that eternal love for the Lord. This is the power of transcendental sound vibrations. What’s the benefit of chanting Hare Krishna?
In the preliminary stages of chanting, the practitioner experiences peace of mind, and relief from unwanted drives and habits. As one develops more realization by chanting, one perceives the original, spiritual existence of the self, and one can understand one’s relationship with the Lord. The founder of the Hare Krishna movement, Srila Prabhupada, very nicely explains that: “We have practical experience that any person who is chanting the holy names of Krishna (Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare, Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare) in due course of time feels some transcendental pleasure and very quickly becomes purified of all material contamination.” www.iskconpune.com/why-chant-hare-krishna/

The importance of Hare Krishna Maha Mantra Originally, the Maha Mantra was Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare. This was the original Vedic Mantra and anyone and every one cannot invoke this mantra. It has to be properly invoked and only a qualified Brahmana has the required qualification to utter such holy mantra. This was possible only in the rest of the 3 previous yugas. However, in Kali Yuga, there are no Brahmanas at all to invoke the above mantra. In Kali Yuga, all are none but Sudras, because of the degradation. Therefore, out of His causeless mercy for the fallen Kali Yuga Jeevas, Sri Chaitanya Maha Prabhu, who is none other than the Supreme Lord Krishna Himself, and who has incarnated 500 years ago, has changed the order of the above Mantra, while retaining the same potency of the original mantra, so that anyone and everyone can easily chant this holy name in this Kali Yuga and get purified. The newly-changed mantra is as follows : Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare Thus, the Lord has made His mercy more easily available to one and all without exception. yugalsarkarradhakrishna.blogspot.com/2011/01/importance-of-hare-krishna-maha-mantra.html

Cancer will be cured by medicine and the believe in Love. That's my take on it. Love of Krsna cures cancer/kansr. First of all, medicine cures cancer, if we can spend the money that is currently spend on weapons and warfare for cancer-reseach programms and other much important and needed things like: housing, feeding and educating the ones who now have to struggle for survival. No more war! Democracy is the best form of government we know of right now. I guess it was Churchill who said that. Who benefits from war? (I'm not asking this. I know it. It's a rethorical question)

But it can also go with medical treatment with cancer/kansr. So treatment of cancer/kansr with medicine can go together with chanting with Hare Krsna. But if one can not afford the medical/surgical treatment, the cancer/kansr victim may opt for this chanting of the Hare Krsna mantra. Is that a problem?

But what I think is the case, is that the mantra, any mantra, has to be given by a real saintly sage in order for it to work.

Why fix it when it`s not broken? Are the both of you (your and your wife) and your family and friends okay and well off, K. ? I'm enjoying the show today, mostly, I have no interest in fighting off all the love deniers any longer. They are so annoying.
