I am well acquainted with so-called New Age ideas and concepts etc - and use to be along these lines (and still am to a certain degree) - having read such like as Lobsang Rampa, Jane Roberts, Ruth Montgomery and others. One person I did miss out on reading about back then, in depth - was about Billy Meier, which I am now catching up on - and he is the only one worthwhile studying.
He makes more sense than any others combined - and is not afraid of being very straightforward and plain speaking.
While Rampa did that also - much of what he highlighted/supported - simply does not add up towards being 'real'.
There will always remain mystery - and also fantastic things which are very hard to prove or find evidence for - yet are probable and believable - if you think it through. Whereas other material stays in the human imagination, and will remain there.
There is a great deal fostered amidst the mainstream media - and those who write/produce/direct/etc who present misguided thoughts and concepts etc - the phrase - My father who art in heaven ... is an example of this.
While belief can have power associated with it - much like taking advantage of a placebo effect - this in effect means you can believe in anything you wish to - and receive the same benefit.
The truth will always remain unpopular and unwanted - most people do not want to know of the truth at all, simply because they have accepted something else instead - over/instead the truth itself.
For those who think that critical thinking is not desirable - with a live and let live attitude...
If you let weeds grow in your garden - do you just let them grow and grow?
And, in order for mankind to progress and develop positively - you simply cannot keep on, keep on passing problems that need tending to, onto the next generation to deal with.
