Early in the morning, as Jesus was on his way back to the city, he was hungry. Seeing a fig tree by the road, he went up to it but found nothing on it except leaves. Then he said to it, “May you never bear fruit again!” Immediately the tree withered. Matthew 21:18-22 NIVSpiderman's Uncle obviously never gave JC the talk. biblehub.com/matthew/21-19.htm"This cursing of the barren fig-tree represents the state of hypocrites in general, and so teaches us that Christ looks for the power of religion in those who profess it, and the savour of it from those that have the show of it. His just expectations from flourishing professors are often disappointed; he comes to many, seeking fruit, and finds leaves only. A false profession commonly withers in this world, and it is the effect of Christ's curse. The fig-tree that had no fruit, soon lost its leaves. This represents the state of the nation and people of the Jews in particular. Our Lord Jesus found among them nothing but leaves. And after they rejected Christ, blindness and hardness grew upon them, till they were undone, and their place and nation rooted up. The Lord was righteous in it. Let us greatly fear the doom denounced on the barren fig-tree." Seems lacking compassion. Even he had to wander in the desert.

Yeah, I know, there are times I don't get JC at all. I would had made the tree bear fruit on the spot! I really don't think it happen like that. Probably added to the bible to enforce some crazy law they were making at the time. right not even tough love. just nuked it.

It's about the fruit of the professors Being not being available to him. Bear in mind that this happened the day after he turned over the tables in the temple. So in Niz terms, this is Jesus taking an axe to everything that isn't representative of the Universality of his 'Father'.

As most so called Bible scholars they want to make a point and use whatever to do it. It doesn't mean it's correct at all. Also to most bible believing folks this is Not a metaphor, it's a real life event that happened. Jesus probably just had low blood sugar and some anger arose. I think he may have went a bit to far .

Well when a tree is just a tree, chopping it up for firewood is occasionally an option. It's worth remembering that Jesus had already learnt about what you were implying with the Uncle Ben idea. It's indicated in the Law of Ra 'material or channellings' that he used his Infinite Energy to kill a childhood friend, so the idea that he deliberately killed the tree because it didn't feed him becomes a no-brainer. He was a grown man upon meeting this tree and knew the depths of his words and 'His' will.

He was showing his new followers what happens when they bare no fruit but go on if you must
