Deuteronomy 13:6-10
6 If your very own brother, or your son or daughter, or the wife you love, or your closest friend secretly entices you, saying, “Let us go and worship other gods” (gods that neither you nor your ancestors have known, 7 gods of the peoples around you, whether near or far, from one end of the land to the other), 8 do not yield to them or listen to them. Show them no pity. Do not spare them or shield them. 9 You must certainly put them to death. Your hand must be the first in putting them to death, and then the hands of all the people. 10 Stone them to death, because they tried to turn you away from the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.
edit: God wrote that. So take heed. But here's the thing, in ND land we're both enticer and enticee. So the trick is stoning oneself to death. One thought would be to throw the stones straight up in the air, and stay put. But this probably won't do the complete deed, or at least it will take a long time and you'll probably end up dying of starvation or thirst or old-age. So you couldn't really count that as stoning to death. any other ideas? One thought I had is that jumping off and landing on a rock may count. Because as we know, gravity always works between two (or more masses). God apparently did not know this at the time of writing. But the point is that jumping from a great height onto a stone or stones, is technically a situation where we the victim is falling towards the hard things while at the same time the hard things are falling towards us. In short, I propose a slight modification to the concept of 'stoning' which could include 'falling.' Hopefully this will find a way out for those of us caught in this bind. Yes, there is an overarching problem however, in ND land, cuz in addition to being seducer/seducee we are also God. So as God we in effect advise stoning God to death. Problematic, for sure.

The bag of rocks trick. Just hand it over to someone, remind them of what God says, and say something enticing like "let us go and worship other gods." With a little wink perhaps.

Early in the morning, as Jesus was on his way back to the city, he was hungry. Seeing a fig tree by the road, he went up to it but found nothing on it except leaves. Then he said to it, “May you never bear fruit again!” Immediately the tree withered. Matthew 21:18-22 NIV
Spiderman's Uncle obviously never gave JC the talk.

Yeah, I know, there are times I don't get JC at all. I would had made the tree bear fruit on the spot! I really don't think it happen like that. Probably added to the bible to enforce some crazy law they were making at the time.

Probably added to the bible to enforce some crazy law they were making at the time. Maybe the olive speculators were trying to drive up the price of olives. I dunno. Jes sayin' lol Probably more to the truth of the matter, Jesus was with some disciples and so he comes by a beautiful Fig tree, in season but no fruit? So as a lesson that his disciples not only look the part but bare fruit for his mission he kills the Fig tree for not producing. I guess a real master could do this, as I gave it more thought. Bible lesson bare fruit or die not much wiggle room

His just expectations from flourishing professors are often disappointed; he comes to many, seeking fruit, and finds leaves only. A false profession commonly withers in this world, and it is the effect of Christ's curse. The fig-tree that had no fruit, soon lost its leaves. This represents the state of the nation and people of the Jews in particular. Our Lord Jesus found among them nothing but leaves. And after they rejected Christ, blindness and hardness grew upon them, till they were undone, and their place and nation rooted up. The Lord was righteous in it. Let us greatly fear the doom denounced on the barren fig-tree."

Well all that being said, I wonder how and why they make a comparison of a fig tree to any of that really..makes no sense, sounds like they will use anything to get the political point accross. I prefer my version Also the fig tree had leaves they were not lost, probably had no fruit because someone got there first and pick it duh.

Could the tree have been co-creative in it's own demise?
