'zup, Mr. Strawberry? Enjoying the jungle of garrulous drunken urchins up north? Got up to the lake twice this June. Water level was high, and like silk, both days dry, breezy, mostly sunny. Absolute perfection. There's a new park ranger that' we'll have to break in, and they placed some downed trees across the path to the remote beach to discourage wanderings. In vain. Love to hear it! Yeah, the downed tree signals are a good way to throw off some of the bigger numbers of visitors to minimize the impact. They also work well to allow the more intrepid some exquisite solitude. So, silently send thanks to the new park ranger, but don't bring it up and just be ready with smiles and a presumed camaraderie if approached by one of the park personnel. They're often understanding with people who feel they "belong there", and give the wink wink. We've been poking around in some of the previously unknown locales here, and have been pleasantly surprised. Also, we unwittingly moved into an area full of our favorite Asian food grocers and restaurants, which was a nice surprise. This area is crawling with Nepalis, Indians, Koreans, and other international cousins.

Great to see you still providing pictures from the wee corners of Turkiye. I sometimes imagined Zinny sitting down at the Dardanells, watching big Russian battle ships and stuff while taking a few snaps of cats and seagulls. Stay safe, Sista! I will visit Dardanelles soon at vacation and will probably remember your words here : ) But I am so lost in my little worries that I am not aware of the larger world much. And yes, street friends are always a joy. Hope everything's well with you. I totally get it; things have gotten a little off balance as we seemingly shift into a new take on direction as a world of values colliding. Feel free to dm me to bounce things off the wall, if not to just get out of your own head for a bit. Good to remember: Come back to Presence too far forward = anxiety too far backward = depression/anger 🍓
