Whereas I get the 'no separation' bit, the 'all of this' conclusion is still mind-boggling. Well, if whatever you are isn't separate from all of this because there is no separation, then whatever you are must be all of this, right? Yes, bullet proof logic. Just doesn't pass my smell test.

How can you have interconnectedness with no parts that are connecting? I'd think in your oneness model there would be no connectedness. The parts are an appearance. A trick of the mind sort of like an optical illusion. Inter-connectivity is a matter of perspective, as many if not most peeps either never think of it or don't see the world that way. It's only if you're curious about the world and take a good look that the image of the interdependence of and entanglement of the appearances starts to emerge. That image of interconnectivity is a way of organizing the appearances that reflects non-seperation (nonduality). As all of the words in these two paragraphs are just more appearance, it would be a lie to say that inter-connectivity is closer to the truth, but perhaps you'll get the drift of the idea that it's further away from the lie. Is the concept like Hillig's Enlightenment for Beginners where the black dot only exists with the white background -- they're 'connected'?

Whereas I get the 'no separation' bit, the 'all of this' conclusion is still mind-boggling. How about "I am none of this"? Whereas there is no denying I Am, or even just Am-ing, to take the next step and pontificate about this or that is more than I can do. I await Realized Mind to provide me with appropriate sermon content.

I await Realized Mind to provide me with appropriate sermon content. You don't need the sermon content. It's just used to point away from ideas that are believed. Ultimately, all you can know is that you exist (I am), and if that's all you know, there is no problem.

Is the concept like Hillig's Enlightenment for Beginners where the black dot only exists with the white background -- they're 'connected'? That seems to me to be an example of how the parts create each other. It's a graphical lesson in duality -- you see one object as foreground, and the other background. The contrast between the two creates the pair. Here are specific examples of interconnectivity: -- Every human being can trace an ancestry back through time. Studies of our genetics indicate that everyone's family tree converges to two common ancestors. -- The street outside your house leads - in lots of different ways -- right up to the one outside mine. -- 6 degrees of separation. Just for giggles, consider that for a moment in terms of sexual partners. -- There is only one Higgs field. It's not like the atoms in your body take their mass from a different field disconnected from the one from which mine derive theirs. -- Gravity. The Earth is linked to the Sun and the Moon with obvious influence and effects, and you are linked to the entire system to even more obvious effect. The Sun is also gravitationally related to many other stars in the Galaxy in ways that astronomers just don't know yet. There are some theories that would explain the cycles of extinction in Earths history based on how the Sun moves through the Galaxy, and if they're right, then really, hasn't every single star in the Galaxy played some role in that history? -- At one point in time the entire Universe was undifferentiated. This expresses itself down through the hierarchy of structures that we observe in a fractal nature: The galaxy, the solar system, the Earth/Moon system, all were at one point relatively undifferentiated clusters of simple molecules or other structures such as gas and dust and rocks. Not only can every point on the planet be traced/linked to any other as it is right now just by following an arc of material between them, but if you look back far enough in time, there was no difference between those points, and in between that first instant and now there were specific intervals during which what appear now as groupings of distinct objects had no such distinctions. -- Food chains, ecology : the lives of species and individuals are intimately linked. For example, kill off the honey bees and we're toast. This could get to be a really really really long list, this is just a few of the ones that I find the most dramatic and easy to recognize and understand.

I await Realized Mind to provide me with appropriate sermon content. "none of this" is not referring to one of the "I am __" blanks, it's referring to an absence, but one that's only indirectly linked to "Realized Mind". To see that there is no "___" that applies seems to me to be a pretty good definition of clarity.

Yes, and it takes some willingness, more than anything else, to just let all the nonsense get sucked in.

These ideas have led lots of peeps to conclude that "like wow man, far out, it's all One (** toke toke **)". Nonduality does not reference that, but interconnectivity is a hint that where nonduality points is away from the false.
