Hi Kayla, Good to hear from you! You know lately with me it depends on what week you talk with me as to which techniques I am using! Really! I am the typical (if there is such a thing) seeker of the Truth, that for the especially past two years or so I have branched out of Yogani's AYP,where I had been off/on since 2005, a really great place. I received shaktipat from a siddha in Australia, and I devoted a full year into this, but the results were less than satisfying. Then I was initiated into Babaji's Kriya yoga and initially results were exceptional. I have had a close, personal relationship with Him for years now, even befor the initiation. We can talk about it sometime if you want. Babaji is my Eternal Master & Friend. For some reason, I don't know why, I grew restless, and universe was sending me signs of mysticsm, so I picked up on that, and suddenly there were mystical threads coming to me from all over! There were some, however that sounded great, but cost an arm & a leg, which I do not have. But the mystic idea really seems to fit me, because you know what?? I still believe in Santa Claus!! In spirit! And lastly I have been practicing Zen zazen meditation. I'm in the process of integrating Kriya yoga back into my sadhana, simply because it is science, and been proven time after time to work. Plus, Babaji is the One who gavethis to the world. Enough of me! I'd love to hear about you! Please call me vicki.

Hi Vicki i enjoyed reading your story and I'd love to hear more about babaji . I personally have never practiced under any specific guidance . I like to learn from lots of different sources and look to my higher self to see what is best for me . I have been working on living my life more aware and in the moment and from a higher consciousness . Ive made a lot of progress from where I started . Also , i have noticed that I've developed interesting abilities and im interested jn furthering that development . Im open to any suggestions or thoughts that you may have (:

Hi Kayla,
I think that's great and wonderful that you are having a relationship with your higher self and cultivating awareness and mindfulness in daily living. Those two things are really important in my life as well, as is surrender and a whole buunch more. Consciousness is really big, and I'm glad you're aware of it. To me, that's what it's all about, consciousness.
I essentially am my own teacher as well, but within a framework of a particular tradition or school of thought, because it's safer, really. You have to be very careful these days who you deal with. But, they say when the student is rea dy, the teacher appears. If your desire or goal is enlightenment, then it is very important to have a spiritual teacher, and one who is also.. enlightened himself. Believe me, I know this is true with several teachers I had that was a dead end street. And you have to be careful, in a general sense, of where people get their info that they are selling you, etc.
I'd love to hear about these "abilitie" you've developed?
Do you mind telling me how long you have been practicing? We can talk about Babaji later. peace, vicki

Hi Vicki
I would like very much to find an enlightened teacher . I have come to be more careful after having some unpleasant experiences when I first started to explore my spirituality . I have only been practicing probably around 2 years . But when I first started I had little knowledge on the subject and didn't know that it could be dangerous . It has been more recently that I have actually begun to learn in a peaceful and careful way .
My abilities are not always consistent . I don't always have them and I do not have control of them yet . My most recent experience was a few weeks ago . I had a dream that my English teacher had been diagnosed with cancer . The week after my dream my teacher told my class she had just been diagnosed with breast cancer .
I suppose some people would call this a coincidence , but I don't believe in coincidences . I believe everything happens for a reason . I just don't know that reason Any thoughts? -Kayla

Hello Kayla,
Well, I think every spiritual traveller at some time along the road has to prioritize what is the most important goal or desire, then everything pretty much falls into place. Anything after that is just a waste of time, discarded like old clothes that don't fit any more. This can be liberating!!!
So, by having a clear mind of what you want & don't, you're free to start work on what is the most important to you!! To become enlightened?? to develop these psychic abilities?? I suppose you could try both, but I don't think it would work very well. I don't believe in coincidences, either. Besides, time will tell, as they say!!! Steady as she goes, as Captain Kirk used to say!
I'd love to give you & everyone a link to a fantastic site called Advanced Yoga Practices,(advanced techniques) given to the world by a man named Yogani, who, by the way, is enlightened. He has free lessons on the web, and a personal friend he has been to me for years. Solid stuff.
peace, vicki

Hey Vicki Wise words (: I think thats why I like meditation and yoga ( or any kind of physical activity ) so much . My mind can become so cluttered and my thoughts can run rampant sometimes , it's just so peaceful to clear it all out and remember what is most important to me on a deeper level. Its getting easier and easier every day to be able to do that ,even when I can't find a quiet place to sit and meditate . That kind of progress makes me so happy. Just knowing that no situation or thought has any power over me and my emotions simply because I'm able to recognize it and let it go . Its So liberating .
I'll be checking out those yoga practices too (:

Hi Kayla, Just checking on you to see how you are doing with the meditation and so on. Maybe now would be a good time to tell you about the Shri Mahavatar Babaji. It was on the support forum of the Advanced Yoga Practices (AYP), that I read a post of one of the members describing a dream he had of the Saint, and it moved me so much, that I set out to consciously contact Him myself!! Well, it worked!! Never before in my life had I experienced such a depth of such magnitude and beauty of LOVE so incredible that words defy description!!! I had another experience with Him where I shared a moment of, and again, words are inadequate, but it was a moment of joy and humor. I later learned He has a great sense of humor. I've dreamed about Him andhad a vision of Him, as well. All this was in 2011. Since then, He has become almost like a mentor to me, but He is so much more. He is my Eternal Savior and Master. A DiVine friend. One who has Always listened to me and heard my pleas. He will for you too, and anyone else, if sincere. Write when you can and tell me how you are. in peace, vicki
