I'm in love with Hans Zimmer (composer of awesome movie scores). Listening to his Classics at Spotify. Makes one proud of humans, which is very welcome these days.
haven't listened to this but here's the dude:

If there are metal fans here, the documentary, Metal: A Headbanger's Journey, is worth a look.

If there are metal fans here, the documentary, Metal: A Headbanger's Journey, is worth a look. I looked at wiki, the first group that got my attention in the 'Definitive metal family tree' was Suicidal Tendencies. I never understood the words well but used to like this song a lot: "How will I laugh tomorrow (when I can't even smile today)". Not a perfect video but might be a good example of 'metal'. www.youtube.com/watch?v=xbtaVEA3nw4&list=RDxbtaVEA3nw4

Saw Silence yesterday. Martin Scorsese. About three 17th century Catholic priests as missionaries to Japan, circa 1630's, '40's+. It's against the law for a Japanese to be a Christian. Based on the famous novel by Shusaku Edo of the same name (but based on a true story as far as I can tell). No music. Heard it described on the radio yesterday as Kundun (young Dalai Lama) meets The Last Temptation of Christ (both also by Scorsese), kind-of so. Probably not many here has seen the Mel Gibson drama about Jesus, The Passion, but this equally ~Intense~, more-so IMO (after all, Jesus was the "Son of God", these people are mere mortals), and this is not one but ppl x n. I'm sure it has come out after after 2016 Oscar year, so next year it will be #1 in the running.
The Christians are faced with impossible decisions, and multiple times. This makes you hurt like Manchester By the Sea makes you hurt, x n. I will have to see it again in the theater. I wanted to clap in one early scene, my hands went up in a clap, but only made a motion. 2 hrs 41 mins, but it doesn't seem near that long. But not for the faint of heart, but see it. A forced ultimate healing of the split mind. The invention of "water-boarding". An example of a forced ultimate healing of the split-mind. Moving beyond moving.

"Miss Sloan" - it gets better and better and explodes at the end! That's what she said. (I'll probably regret that and delete it in about an hour).
