Looking to discuss topics about cosmic consciousness and the awakening of the world soul.
Anyone in Alberta interested in meeting for coffee to look at these topics? I am also a part of a meditation group that practices mediation and mantras together. If you like to do chanting or any of the other spiritual practices I have mentioned drop me an e-mail at this site and we'll see if there's some common ground here.

I don't know anything about cosmic consciousness to be able to discuss it. Would you be able to say something about it, or post some links?
The world soul I'm more familar with. Do you mean the idea of humanity joining together in unity, or are you thinking more of the soul of the planet - Gaia?
George Carlin was most insightful on the subject - "Save the planet? The planet is doing fine. It's the people on the planet who are the problem. The planet is just going to shake us off like a dog getting rid of fleas."

Cosmic Consciousness is a huge topic, one definition is "the condition of absorption into the state of Nirvana"...

Being aware of the privilege of being a human is just the start. Once you are grateful for this chance on earth you may start to practice devotion towards the spiritual hierarchy, service toward your fellow mankind, practice understanding of the workings of the universe and meditate to practice other forms of consciousness than the ones know. I try to remain aware that all living beings are divine and wonderful but we make such strange choices in our actions and in our thoughts. Remaining positive in such a "messed up" world is difficult but it must be done for anything to get better.
Love the quote from Carlin, he was great wasn't he? The planet would be just fine without humanity. The world's soul is suffering from our devastation of resources/nature, the animal kingdom, you name it. It's the people of the world who have to wake up, not the mother earth herself.
