Position your cursor at the end of the other person's quote and start typing. Their words will be in that neat little quote box - yours will not. When you're all finished, click the Create Post button on the bottom right.

Hi Butterfly, When you click on the button marked "Quote", it will put the whole contents of the other person's post into your "Create Post" window. Position your cursor at the end of the other person's quote and start typing. Their words will be in that neat little quote box - yours will not. When you're all finished, click the Create Post button on the bottom right. If you're asking how people manage to quote just a short section of a post rather than "repeating the whole thing" then you need to start getting comfortable with the "BBCode" which is the stuff in the square brackets (called tags). So a quote section will start (aka open) with [ quote author="@someone"] and it'll end with [ /quote] All you need to do when you've done what Quinn suggested, is remove the extra bits of the post from between the start and end tags that you don't want. The text that you want to write as your reply goes AFTER the ending (aka closing) [ /quote] tag. PS I put a space there after my square bracket so that you can see it - otherwise it'll become a real quote box. When you do it, don't include that space.

At the top of the text there should be several buttons. On the left "Font Face" and on the right a smiley face. To post a picture, the button you're looking for looks like this: When you click this button it will bring up a box where you can paste the URL to the image you are trying to post. Try practicing here. **** Disclaimer **** if you post through the reply-box at the bottom of the page, you will not have access to the buttons you need for posting pictures and changing your post. You should hit the REPLY button at the top of the page, or hit the QUOTE button of the post you want to quote. You could also hit the QUOTE button and delete the content to simulate hitting the REPLY button at the top of the page.

ps i tried to put an url in but it didnt work (for a photo...)maybe the pic was blocked from copying. cant put a pic from my usb stick there can I ? eh gonna try it what does alt text do in that box? i thought it was a possibility to put a tiltle.? The text for the image is incase the image does not display then the text will display instead. I don't bother adding text. As for stepping on toes, there is a culture of butting heads here to see how your ego gets disturbed. Too many people have come along wanting to be gurus or heralds of gurus but their egos are active with their own agendas. Usually people gravitate to spirituality out of low self esteem and are compensating instead of facing their problems directly.

How did you first come to spirituality? open question for all of you. Why seek beyond your current context into spirituality?
