Anyone in the New Jersey area looking for and examining the truth of their existence. I've been a searcher for a long time and i feel like i'm getting closer to possible enlightenment. In this process i think it would help to have others goal oriented folks who will challenge each others ego's and beliefs in this quest for this Truth. That is all. Thanks y'all  |

i suppose i would define enlightenment as no more ego or identification with personality. It's a good question and one that's hard to answer. I would say my measurement of proximity would be sensitivity and vulnerability to life. In the increasing of sensitivity and vulnerability it seems that there is also a kind of desperation that can come about as being more sensitive and vulnerable can make life increasingly more difficult. Desperation and suffering seems to be a good recipe for enlightenment as, i tend to believe, they can push you off that cliff. Besides desperation and suffering i think what has helped me has been a complete cosmic uncertainty about myself and my relationship to God or life.
