We discuss only what we're interested in. And it's all aimed at understanding more about ourselves and our lives. There is an ultimate philosophy of seeking the meaning of life at the core of the various activities we take part in. We watch interesting films, meet down at the river, engage in dialogues & discussions, try meditation techniques, do thought experiments, and so on. Check out our philosophy and past and present meeting topics at: www.firstknowthyself.org/m&mphilosophy.htm

Hi Skydancer, Don't worry, you look like a fully fledged member from your post here. The board section for General Spiritual Discussion is probably the best one for Dialogues and Discussion. What would you like to talk about? Also there's a thread here where if you'd like to share what your current spiritual practice is, you might get some feedback on what to try next. For thought experiments, have you checked out Douglas Harding's website? www.headless.org/experiments.htm

Hi Skydancer, My opinion is just one of many. My advice is also just one of many and also it's not expected that you should follow it, but I am currently reading a book that has a number of these thought experiments and meditations. I do not know what your spiritual interests are - I don't even know what my own are at the time being - but the book is called The Kabbalah Experience by Naomi Ozaniec ( books.google.com/books?id=hoWH7QCICDIC) I am currently involved in reading this book and have engaged in the activities within. They make use of the imagination and allow you to learn more about yourself in a Know Thyself kind of way. However, if I lived in Wheeling, WV I know I'd want to attend these meetings that the OP mentioned. There is nothing like that here in Louisville, KY.
