In the end these things matter most: How well did you love? How fully did you live? How deeply did you let go? ~Siddhārtha Gautama
What does it mean to love well? to live fully? to let go deeply?

What does it mean to love well? to live fully? to let go deeply? "To live fully" seems to project quite well into our current cultural context. A full life is one that includes a wide embrace of whatever the world has to offer ... and this isn't to say that a relatively quiet and contemplative existence isn't such a life. ... and that exception that proves the rule is a great segue into the idea of "to let go deeply". Accepting each moment as it is for what it is probably isn't the greatest prescription to live by, as the mind can find this confusing. Using it as a yardstick though, a sort of thermometer, would seem to make sense in a way ... internal resistance is something that we can get good at spotting if we give it a try. As far as "loving well" is concerned? _( ____________________________________) _

Very nice take Bill. My take is similar. I see Buddha pointing to the same thing as Jesus when Jesus said "Seek first the Kingdom of God ...and then all things will be added unto you". Once we live firstly as the Present, Pure Awareness we are, Fully Present to each moment, then by default the Fullness of Love, Life and Abundant Emptiness naturally IS, ready and able to meet each Moment with Perfect Appropriateness.

Greetings..
Letting go of ALL of it.. all beliefs, all 'knowing', all 'thinking', arriving at that interval of still and silent consciousness where what is seen and experienced is not distorted by beliefs, knowing, thinking, and descriptions..
Be well..

BUDDHA: I teach that the multitudinousness of objects have no reality in themselves but are only seen of the mind and, therefore, are of the nature of maya and a dream. ...It is true that in one sense they are seen and discriminated by the senses as individualized objects; but in another sense, because of the absence of any characteristic marks of self-nature, they are not seen but are only imagined. In one sense they are graspable, but in another sense, they are not graspable.

That's a nice quote. I like it. [ It means to live in the here and now or the present moment because life, love, bliss and ecstasy can be fully experienced and lived in the moment where these is a state of no-mind just BEing. When there is a natuaral let-go then it is fullness and a well lived and well loved life.
