Before the Horse Race, Goats Kept the Horses Placid ..
composure, the coolness of the unheated horse take his goat (it keeps him placid) and he is going to become heated perhaps, before the heat is on
it might be cruel if you stole his gruel but its his cool you see, for prosperity who knows what he sees in the goat if you stole his gruel, oh how cruel
at least, not very cool

What to do oh what to do? The heat of the seat is mainly in the beat But the fat of the hat is always on the mat The burn of the stern is likely loss no learn But the bun in the fun is always better on the run!

With what shall I mix it, dear glimmer, dear glimmer? With what shall I mix it, dear glimmer, with what? With the beat of the heat of the seat, dear laughter, dear laughter, dear laughter, With a the beat of the heat, dear laughter, dear laughter, with that.
The burn of the stern is too much loss no learn, dear glimmer, dear glimmer, The burn of the stern is too much loss no learn, dear glimmer, too much, Then run having fun with your bun, dear laughter, dear laughter, dear laughter, Then run having fun with your bun, dear laughter, dear laughter run and have fun.

Light is the night When we can laugh at the fight Boring is the morning When the stories find us snoring Thin is the din That we tune out and say "fin!"

The country song, "A Satisfied Mind," was written by Joe Hayes and Jack Rhodes. The first recording was released in 1955 by Porter Wagoner. It's been covered innumerable times since then by Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan and the Byrds to name a few. Great song though. How many ti-imes ha-ave you heard someone say If I had his money I would do things my way But little they know That it's so hard to find One rich man in te-en With a satisfied mi-ind
Once I was wading in fortune and fame Everything that I've dreamed for to get a start in li-ife's game But suddenly it ha-appened I lost every dime But I'm richer by far-ar With a satisfied mi-ind
Money can't buy-uy back your youth when you're old Or a friend when you're lonely or a love that's grown co-old The wealthiest person Is a pauper at times Compared to the ma-an With a satisfied mi-ind
When li-ife has ended and my time has run out My friends and my loved ones, I'll leave there's no doubt But there's one thing for cer-ertain When it comes my time I'll leave this old wor-orld With a satisfied mi-indWell Chazz from the Bronx ... I should have expected no less cultural range from a practicing Catholic who posts on a forum devoted to late-night neo-Advaitic ramblings. (hope you can forgive my resorting to labels here for the sake of levity... ) Seriously though Charlie, that was really really nice, thanks for the recommendation.

one of the favorite line of breadcrumbs for my mind is to smile at the paradox at the root of the existence of any and all human beings Hey laughter, could you put poetic spin on this? I've seen your reference to the paradox at the root a couple of times here and there .. Up to go down ... The gondo’ house is green Big white letters on the side Often, freshly ticketed and booted I don’t see them In the excitement In the anticipation Of riding up to go down Beep of the lifty Bustle into the car Lots of times alone Sometimes with folk, some who want to talk If they don’t I can send them silent love along the ride Up to go down Off at the top Often windswept Always cold Sweetly cold Flat and inviting at the top Lots of space for lots of folk to snap on the sticks The kids with the boards gotta walk Up to go down First run of the day Make for Foxlair Pole it over the flats Stay to the left to keep the steep Watch for that eastern powder on the sharp turn At the end of the day, on the last run I’ll stop There at the top of the chute Where the gondola crosses the trail Where the view of the Adirondacks spreads out Way out Up there looking down But not now Not on the first run Time to go down! Fast Check it on the Sunway If there’s kids about But sometimes pretty girls Go close they give a shout They were excited, nervous going Up to go down Stop halfway to Quicksilver Take in the day The pain of the settle Need another layer? Next run another warm-up? … nah, next time to Pineknot Take me to the peak Take me to the top Take me up to go down Point’em straight down hill Anyone in the way On a blue Should know better …. (just kiddin’) … Quicksilver curves Just enough steep To make you wanna turn Make you wanna shimmee Make you wanna carve The earth pulls you to her As you go up to go down Tuck before the runnout Pick up lots of speed You know it flattens out With lots of room for leave Glad you got a helmet As the still air whips you by Turn and kick up snowdust Hoot out in joy, it ain’t no lie The rest … there’s lots of traffic Sometimes your legs can use a break As you cruise in to the liftline Sometimes you gotta wait To go up to go down
