Some of my posts are being selectively deleted. Some of them were quite insightful too, and not necessarily space wasters.
Could I get some input into what my infractions may have been? The last thing I'd want to put up with are admins that railroad messages to the bit bucket because they either don't like, or don't agree with their content -- I put up with loads of that when I strolled through the Oprah.com boards back after Tolle made an appearance on her show. The Christian moderator went wild deleting all my best posts.

Wow. I'm quite sorry to hear that Uncreated. I haven't deleted any of your posts (unless you are the recent spammer who has been posting random stories and the phrases "WOW Gold" to get more hits for that. So the only other possibility is that it's Shawn, but he doesn't usually do that sort of thing...

Well, one of my more meaty posts I made in the Enlightenment Secret thread disappeared. There may be more, but I'm not keeping a detailed log of them. The post was something to the tune that it was a title with conflicting terms. I painstakingly laid out a case explaining why I thought so, yet the post disappeared into thin air -- poof.
I don't want to believe that this place insists on a certain point of view, and through selective deletion attempts to suppress certain viewpoints that don't fit someone's ideal of spiritual discussion. Regardless, I'll continue to post, but I'll be keeping closer track of what I post to get a feel for what isn't permitted here if any one of them suddenly disappears again.

The author moderator's name is shawn. I recommend people contact him directly. There's links on the site and a place for site feedback that is especially for him. That's pretty much the only section he appears to read of this board...

I'd also be upset to hear that your post are being deleted, Uncreated, I appreciate reading them. However I very much doubt that there's any deliberate human activity involved here - incompetence is always much more likely than maliciousness. As computers (and their networks) become more complex, it seems to be easier and easier for things to fall into a digital black hole. A Teacher sent my wife and I an email last week, but my copy never turned up. The only reason I know it was sent at all was because my wife showed me it. My email address was in there correctly and people replied to his message "Reply All" and I got those. Just that first one went missing. Very strange. I sometimes wonder if there are Other Things going on. When I'm writing a long post and the computer loses it I wonder if I'm being 'told' something. I wonder if your postings might have been too insightful... Have you head of the General Law? www.cassiopedia.org/glossary/General_Law Things get a bit quantum here - where it's not possible to 'prove' or 'observe' that something has happened, then just about anything can happen. No waveform collapse, everything possible exists. I'm a regular on another board too and it also has problems of random messages being deleted which their tech guys are still trying to get to the bottom of. Actually the website I work on just had a fault reported on it that it's randomly deleting user permissions, and last year it had a fault of randomly deleting users addresses (there is no functionality in the system to allow this to be done so it's a case of "that's impossible"). Basically: Computers, don't trust 'em. Cheers, Peter

I haven't deleted anything and Lightmystic and I are the only people with permission to delete posts. As he said, about the only thing I try to keep tabs on is the Feedback section.
If you detect any pattern to what gets deleted, I can attempt contacting the folks at ProBoards.
