I still dont know why S.C. would erase a whole bunch of posts , all he would need say is something like , "the 9th jhana is a complex system , I may of misunderstood what level I was at ." Its too complex for me , I think I will follow a slightly different path , but it is interesting . desert rat Well, that would be a noble thing to do. But when your chosen identity is "I am choiceless openness, the nonbeing being, the unsame same, I am perfection etc." then going back to "sorry, I might have misunderstood something here with these jnanas..." doesn't really seem like an option, does it? The best thing to do would be to stop playing identity poker once and for all. ;D |

Well, when the ultimate emptiness before emptiness becomes aware of the awareness of awareness that is out front, but looked at from behind behind, the essential being of nonbeing does some stuff that is beyond beyondness, if you know what I mean.

If you don't know about the 9th jhana thingy, you don't get yer enlightenment diploma. I read it earlier today, and I don't think E.'s towtruck, even with a turbocharger, and a nonbeing-being-before-being winch, could pull that group back to the surface. Hehe. I haven't consumed the whole enchilada over there, but I nibbled around until I got the gist of it. The focus on knowledge and woo woo experiences is like analyzing giraffe dung instead of looking up at the giraffe. It reminds me of that guru rating forum where a bunch of unenlightened peeps sit around discussing whether or not a teacher is enlightened. We inadvertently did a much simpler test here that didn't involve 9th jhanas or being the non-being being of the being being. What we found was Steve, in all his glory and woe. I'm glad to have known him, and I'll do him the honor of not elevating him to the status of teacher on his way to pure Buddhahood.

Holy crapamole, it's gotta be a lot of work to go through Tath's memoirs. Where do you get the strenght to do it? Well, at least I'm not misquoting anyone.  Was actually fun going through it, especially when you know how it's going to end. ;D
