Hi there! Where I live (in Eastern Europe) there are no known possibilities for physically meeting up with people to discuss this tragi-comic business of seeking, so I thought I'd give an online community a go. :-) Nice place you have here!

Hi James, welcome to the board. Nice to have another apostle contributing. Also apparently you were born a fortnight after me, so a fellow water ox! Is there government/establishment interference preventing you discussing seeking, or is it just "not done" where you are? Are you able to say what country you're in? Nice place here? Hmm, not so much this past week but sometimes people drop their masks when things get heated and you get to see a more authentic side of them. So a few people have expressed their gratitude that this board isn't too heavily moderated, gives us a chance to work these things out to some sort of conclusion. Whatever else we argue about here, I hope everyone would agree we're looking for the Truth.

Hey Peter, thanks for the welcome. Where I am there's not really much of a scene that I've been able to find. Various types of Yoga are popular here but that isn't my thing. From what I gathered about this forum from recent posts there are some accusations of bullying, some annoyance at certain members for taking a teaching position when others think they should not, etc. Standard fare for a forum then. ;D I used to own and moderate a popular poker forum, so I have some experience with the kind of problems that come up. This place seems super-civilized to a recent arrival to be honest, even the 'bad bits' are not that bad! It's all relative though eh?

Hi James (again)
Your English is very good (better than mine actually, and I'm an American) lol. Of course, once deeply along this path, many different kinds of "borders" begin to dissolve. I once was was very much red white and blue, then I started seeing our government as imperialist pigs, and now I am watching their coming and goings without much opinion at all.
Ah ... texas hold-em poker, that used to be one of my favorite hobbies. I have won a few hotel tournaments in Las Vegas. In fact I'll be heading back there a few weeks from now.
I hope you find this forum useful. There are some extremely helpful members here, some that are good for a laugh, and some that will bring out other interesting emotions.
How's the economy in Estonia? lol Are you all in the Euro zone?

Ha! I am actually natively English, I just live here. I bet a lot of folks here can write English as good as I can though, they are tremendously well educated.
Congrats on the tournament wins (and good luck for the upcoming trip)! I was a mediocre poker player to be honest, but I liked it a lot. Overall I was profitable, but not by much considering the number of hands (I measured all my stats with a program, PokerTracker), and I only maintained profitability by being boringly conservative! Which ended up being not much fun. ;D
Economy... This country is in the Euro zone, yes. I think unemployment is around 8%, which is down from circa 12% a year ago, if memory serves... I don't keep tabs. It is probably all over the news that the economy is in tatters or somesuch, but then again I don't read the news so I am happily oblivious. Just by looking around in general (which is probably no indicator at all in general) I'd say people are doing OK.
People drive nice cars, people eat out, people have smart phones and other gadgets, ... I've visited some of the poorer people here on occasion and their quality of life seems OK to me, despite not having a surplus of money or living in the lap of luxury.
