Sometimes I really can't tell if a spiritual teacher is trying to con the followers or sincerely offer the help. I like Robert's model for the reality and Phase 2 tools to break the vasana(or the cloud cover in his term) described in his Busting Loose from Money Games book. www.amazon.com/Busting-Loose-Money-Game-Mind-Blowing/dp/0470047496Now he started to offer Phase 3 online course(fee: $995) and claimed that it can knock out the cloud cover all at once while it takes many many years to accomplish this using Phase 2 tools. www.robertscheinfeld.com/store/existing/online-courses/bit/bit-enroll/I asked his assistant that if Phase 3 online course is so effective, then why Robert doesn't want to stop offering Phase 2 courses and books. Here is the reply: 'If you feel moved to keep using the Phase 2 tools, then do so. If you don't, that's fine, too!' This is a very wise response. To me, it means use them at your own risk and we are not responsible for the results. And we will continue to sell both Phase 2 and Phase 3 courses and books.

I purchased this book at the local new age book store in San Rafael, surprised to see a business book on their "recommended" table. It's total BS, in my opinion. I have a graduate degree in business and finance, a deep spiritual grounding, and a very keen BS meter. I threw the book away after skimming it. It was even less intelligent than a "Business Book for Dummies" as it was written with a false knowledge. I remember thinking it'd be a good business book for stoners, who had no knowledge of money, and its source, and could easily be conned. It was published with a flashy green cover to catch your eye, but little of substance inside. I certainly would not pay the dude $995 for the next installment.
In my experience, the source of money is consciousness, your value as an individual, and the use of your skills.
As an alternative, I'd recommend "The Seven Laws of Money" by Michael Phillips (no relation).

I don't think so. If you think it should go to business category, you are completely wrong. IMHO, it is very similar to Sedona method, but with a convincing model to help the readers understand why its Phase 2 tools make sense. Of course, I think maybe Robert used Monday Game in the book title in order to increase the sales. But this book actually is about how to break loose from the Human Game/illusion and has its own value.

Really, I don't understand you people. Yesterday you were complaining about David Scoma charging pennies for proven high quality content. Today, you're falling for a sleazy multimillionaire who is charging 995$ for garbage. You don't need a good bs detector to figure out this charlatan in more than 10 seconds.

Eckhart Tolle is a 'multimillionaire who is charging' $$$ for his retreat events, so all of his stuff is garbage too? You probably need to exam your own logic first. www.eckharttolle.com/event/

Germans are nazis. Would you give your money to a nazi? I think not. Therefore your argument is invalid. If you don't agree, then maybe you should exam your logic.

I have a graduate degree in business and finance, a deep spiritual grounding, and a very keen BS meter. Hello again tomas What is your opinion about the current state of global monetary policy? Debt, leverage, devaluing currencies, loss of confidence, inflation, more debt, central banks/political interventions. What an interesting time to be alive [maybe they all are? :-] The top one thousandth of one percent really have their hands full right now, desperately trying to keep that one big domino from falling. Without some big (controlled) debt jubilee, I don't see this ending well. as for phase 3, think I'd give the money to a local food shelter, or buy 1/2 oz of gold.

I happened to be reading "Richard Rose's Psychology of the Observer" this morning.... p. 100: "There is no price on a priceless thing". Scheinfeld will no doubt find people willing to pay $995 for bs.
I have not developed my clairvoyant abilities. I do know we're in a recession, of indeterminate length. As much as I empathize with "Occupy Wall Street", I'm probably in the 1%, as opposed to the 99%... certainly in the world, if not the US.
Money is power, power is money. Those who have it will protect it, just as the RC Church and land barons did in the middle ages. Occupy Wall Street, Arab Spring, and all movements for economic equality will have some results, just as the WWW and FDR's measures had results, as those who have it will brush a few more crumbs to those without.
Money is also ego. Those who have it will hold onto it tightly, as most humans hold onto their personalities, and their dysfunction. That's the way the ego works.

One number they can't manipulate is food stamp recipients, currently at an all time high of 46 million.

"There is no price on a priceless thing".
True, but there is a price on books and such. Looks like what he's selling is his version of The Secret, so the big price tag doesn't surprise me. That "work" likely works ... with a 100% commitment and perseverance. But very few probably succeed, so you're likely better putting the money towards something else.
Besides, who wants to get in the business of judging the man. "BS detectors" are valuable of course, but its good to remember that imagination is at work, and not always accurate. Facts can often be discovered, but can you ever know what's inside a person's heart?
