It's not the hands that need washing. There's a beautiful lesson going on here in the absence of any teacher. It's about the difference between the heart and the mind. One sees their brother, the other see's it's creepy, virusy, separate self, hidden away in humor and sarcasm. One is the light, while the other hides in the darkness. Heaven and Hell Who needs a teacher when there's Life? Peace Take my brother Andrew....please! As horribly wrong as Anderew is at times, he's never actually wrong, which is a paradoxical contradiction. Notice how there isn't a malevolent bone in brother Andrew's body..... I think in this instance tathagata that maybe you have been a bit overly suspicious and prejudgmental. I have no issue at all with acewall, from the little I have seen he looks like a decent chap with an open heart. I only popped onto this thread to say that I didnt want to get involved in this thread hehe. LOLOlolol, too late, You have involved yourself by posting!  ;D I know! What have I done?! Are you also saying you are the patient, non-condescending teacher to this site? These are questions for clarity on your passage, not attempts on your life. with you and enigma, I have been the opposite of patient and condescending for a reason lol....but frankly you guys had nothing you needed from me that would help you undo the habits that keep you thinking you are seperate... On the othr hand...there are a few guys here who I have that patient noncondacending relationship with lol Where are you getting all this talk of we think we are separate? Hahaha. another pure of heart, blessings and love brother andrew and enigma and others....if you want to know acewall look openly and with love from the heart, and not suspicion and prejudgment from the head...see which feels better, more right. Admittance is the first step. misunderstood quote...what was meant was that that is no belief that you are seperate so there is no need of a technique to undo the habits that keep that idea alive. |

It's funny because it appears through your words that you think you can help someone with something. And yet no one has awoken because of a teacher. All awaken when IT decides to awaken ITself through ITself manifesting in a form of ITself. There is nothing to teach. There is no one here to teach. So I ask you, who is this you that is going to "show some people who are struggling with the obvious how they can figure it out themselves"? I have to disagree with the basic premise here as it was not my experience...using a specific set of techniques I experienced myself...and it was cognitive purposeful effort in those techniques that uncover what was there...that was 13 years ago...recently I came to the emotional and intellectual decision that there was no benefit or function to not surrendering completely into the stillness and giving up all plans or goals or self creation...both were choices and decisions for me...I kept looking at who was looking until I entered the stillness of conciousness...for me it was a very purposefull peeling back of the layers to the center of the tootsy pop. |

And herein lies the kerfuffle....there are those that say there is no need for any effort to uncover awareness of your full nature Becuase your full nature is there no matter what (and they are 100% correct)....and there are those that say that effort is needed in letting go of the illusion of seperateness (and they are 100% correct)
Be without judgment of right path or wrong path, and of path or no path...and see.

Maybe I'll just go back to Two Hands Clapping. Break my habitual thought of one hand clapping being all there is. Can one sue the Buddha despite being dead for this oversite? I think you should give Buddha a break this time. Folks already try to kill him everytime he gets on the road.  |
