Hello, Jenpa here. I'm looking forward to our adventure together. Welcome to the forum Jenpa. We love having new members, but of course no matter how many members we add there's only one here. LOL. When you get a chance, tell us what led you to such an off-the-beaten-path place such as this.

Zen,
Thank you for the warm welcoming.
A friend had sent me a very interesting and compelling interview with Linda Clair. I had not heard of her before, so while on a search for more information on Linda Clair, I found out about Richard Rose, and from there the road led me to here.
I don't have a personal teacher, but I've been practicing mindful meditation off and on for many years. However, lately I've been more disciplined and sitting daily, and I have felt the need for a more conversational forum and contact with others on the path, rather than just reading books for answers to my questions.
I'm happy to have found such a community as this.

Good Morning, I was searching for new friends and contacts to communicate and share some thoughts with. I am a God-loving and God fearing woman that desire to discuss and share some issue I have been dealing with, and hoping to find friends that might help me in some of life's obstacles. I am a loving, caring and compassionate person, right I feel desponded and down in spirit, so I found this spiritual website and thought I would joins the friends here.

Hi Ladye59: Welcome to the board. What sort of obstacles are you encountering and why do you feel despondent?

Welcome Ladye.
The phrase "God Fearing" stood out in your post for me - would you be able to say some more about it?
It's something I came across and accepted in my (Christian) youth, but nowadays love and fear seem like contradictory qualities - although of course in the spiritual path we come across many apparent paradoxes. From an evolutionary perspective, fear was useful to help us avoid danger. It would seem to serve to separate us from the jealous Old Testement God, where Love might draw us towards the God of the New Testement?
Interested to hear your thoughts on that. Sorry to hear you're a bit blue at the moment - is the weather affecting you much?
Best Wishes, Peter

Welcome, I am new here as well. I to am a God-loving God-fearing person. If I may be so bold....Why are you feeling down. You are a loving and caring person, could it be that your not receiving the love and care that you give others, that is getting you down. I don't know for sure, just offering a thought. Nice meeting you, you have a great day. Ken
