Hi, there. I suppose I've been drawn to the 'universal truth' like many others, and my searching led me here. A little about me is that I've been interested in spirituality ever since trying something illegal. That something put a lot of strange ideas into my head that I can't quite convey, but the experience led me to the search for 'truth'.
I don't know a whole lot about any sort of religions out there, and I know even less about spirituality, but for the past month or so the things I've read about Kundalini energy, meditation, self-inquiry, and similar topics has left me more and more fascinated. I have a lot of questions about all of this... a lot of concerns that I know deep down I'll eventually have to confront. Many will be very, very difficult. I'm just looking for a little guidance from others a bit more experienced than myself. I'm curious as to how things work once you actually become enlightened.
I practice meditation....though whether it's proper or not I have no idea. I also try to perform a type of 'shadow meditation' and realize that things I see in others are a part of myself, but often have issues distinguishing between what is true and what my ego deceives me with. Without any real experience, it becomes difficult to understand which parts are real and which parts are illusion.

Meditation, we may describe this in many forms depending on our own bent and personal database, our frame of reference from another being's frame of reference is just that. Learning is tailored exactly to fit that individual and where they are at.
A master might be asked a question, his answer is lean right. Another seeker asks the same question, his answer is lean left...... we are all time travelers......... so specific instructions one person to another is subjective and is in reality a debate.
What remains a pure authentic truth is that which you seek - seeks you....... it is our passion for truth that enables us to warp speed across the universe, through the milky way or to remain silent and fall into bliss.
Stuart Wilde says, take that which you feel resonance for, ignore the rest, quiet the mind, and lovingly....... lovingly.... do meditative practice...... i.e. love you embrace you indulge you..... play, dance, laugh, sing... the silence comes ... in that essence there are no words or mind needed to describe what is being experienced.
when you are there, you are there......... the hair on your arms stands up straight and the inner music is bliss filled.... for days and says you wonder around smiling...... love evolve louij

Hi Mazma - Welcome to the spiritual path. One of the things I teach my students is to always 'go within' to connect with their Divine Wisdom as to what is right for them to do. We can all be confused by what others tell us. Sometimes the ideas don't feel right, and sometimes they contradict each other. However, your Inner Wisdom will always guide you to the right path for you. Learn to trust it.
There is no one right way to meditate. Experiment with different methods and use the ones that work for you.
As for finally getting enlightened, I don't think that is possible on this plane of life. I have been on the spiritual path for 25 years and I have been a Licensed Minister for 4 years. No matter how much I know, I realize that there is always more God to know and express.
Blessings -
Rev. Della

Welcome Mazma!
BTW, I do plan on realizing this enlightenment thing - whatever. Plains of life are just in the mind anyway.

Hi, everyone, and thanks for the responses! I've been so busy reading other threads that I forgot about this one, haha. I think I've finally got at least an inkling of an idea to work with now, so we'll see where it takes me.
