hi! just discovered this site. have been studying eckhart tolle and am starting to question the money/profiteering aspect. this site seems to have opened up a whole new world - pointing to teachers with some similar ideas to tolle (at first glance, anyway) yet they do not have the money/profiteering component. looking forward to studying the ideas of these teachers and having discussions with others here. phil

Welcome Phil!
But I often wonder if the idea that genuine teachers have to go the non - or low - profit route is valid. Is it not possible that teachers who teach for profit actually have reached far more people than those who give their services away?

thanks skyblue. i came up with cosmicmuffin 10 years ago as a term of endearment for my fellow massage students that were into the "energy" type of bodywork. i thought it was a bunch of silliness at the time. now i'm a cosmicmuffin. go figure.
karen, funny that you said that. i was listening to another recorded eckhart talk today during my commute, paying particular attention for self promotion comments or insincerity and i just didn't pick up on any. when i thought more about it my doubts about his motives or sincerity really came from comments some others were making about him.
