Guest: I don't think this is the fellow who posted on this forum. I seem to remember that our LM mentioned Richard Rose and some other american teachers, and I can't remember him ever writing anything about yoga, wandering the world, begging for food, etc.

Hi Uncreated, Ive spent a good 25 plus years holding nothing but contempt and mistrust of any and all authority. It was extreme to say the least and an incredible burden. I sense a bit more balance now and all I can say is its ok to admire someones ability to teach...Im a former teacher myself (Art). Its ok because its not really about the teacher just like hate isnt really about the object hated. It just doesn't seem that way to me at least. The sweetness I see in the symbols once assembled that spell Lightmystic is the same sweetness that I am. I havent been able to see a difference these past few days anyway. Sweetness feels good yes? Lately Ive been able to fully feel what I find beautiful and or sad without getting lost in it. After so many years of numb this is a trip!

LM guards his anonimity quite carefully. I've looked for clues a few times over the past couple of years, but not found anything more definite than a timezone. ZD possibly has access to IP address information now that he's staff but I'm not sure he'd appreciate being tracked down.
I once private-messaged him to ask if he had a photo of himself available - I wanted to be able to put a face to the writing. I've no idea how old he is, actually I don't know that I'm 100% certain that he's a he. He (or she) replied:
I'd be very surprised if he abandonned his responsibilities without giving Shawn time to find a replacement. I hope he's well.

Peter: Shawn knew nothing about LM's leaving, and he has no contact info. He simply noticed that LM had quit posting back in April. I'm glad you printed LM's response to your email. I won't hold my breath about getting a response to the email I sent him. Thanks.

Its interesting to observe the emotions arising with LM disappearing.
Sadness for a loss of a friend Fear because its weird, could be dangerous Rejection maybe because he just left without saying anything Appreciation for reading his posts and viewpoints Curiosity - what the hell really happened. Love - for his manner of writing to us.

This is precisely why things like personality cults thrive. Some of you need to stop objectifying LightMystic and get on with the business of figuring stuff out for yourselves. I'm sure LightMystic would agree that names should be relegated as secondary to the teachings. In fact, names ought not to be a factor in this whole process at all. Sure as hell (pardon the pun), that if the billion or so Christians quit having wet dreams about licking Jesus' feet, there'd be a lot more enlightened Christians. That isn't saying anything about Christianity -- but it is saying something about Christians. In the end, the search can't be undertaken by anybody but yourself. In that sense it's a lonely world out there. LightMystic can teach you about as much about Truth as he can teach you the taste of shark's fin. Follow me? So stop wasting your time. The Uncreated The Uncreated, Thanks for that, I am very much with you here. Although I had quite a few inspiring and zooming-in exchanges with LM, and honestly miss his endearing posts here, all this bigging him up makes me gag (I know I know, my problem or my resistance, etc…) If he’s just taking a break that’s cool, if he had a light bulb revelation that posting on discussion boards is no longer for him with immediate effect, then bravo, and if his mortal carcasse passed away, well he posted at least 2 times that I read “death is perfectly safe” with a winking smily. So I wouldn’t go worrying. BTW: to put some posters to this thread right, it was not so much that he was showing disinterest, but apart from the odd week long absence ( maybe holiday, silent retreat or work travel or what have you) he was always taking the week-ends off from this board. I always noticed that if I had an interchange with him on a Friday the reply would only come late on Monday. That’s what a lot of staff do! ZD I guess you can have your weekends off now
