Alan Chapman: Magick and the Great Work

I stumbled across this interesting site
a while ago. Apparently, in the western tradition of magick, the highest goal of a magician is enlightenment, also called The Great Work. While the above website deals more with magick in general and also touches on enlightenment at times (there are articles about it and a section at the discussion forum dedicated to it), the two authors of the website, Alan Chapman and Duncan Barford, also have a site dedicated wholly to enlightenment here.

I spent a couple hours reading Alan's magical record. It is very entertaining. He claims it takes place from 2006 to 2009. He likes beer,pot, lsd, dmt, psilocybin,mescalin and a few others and sex with his wife which is good thing.

His trip to India is hilarious.Its the last entry called the great accomplishment. It was the best part.

I didn't read the first parts. I started around the middle [ I am the snake].

One funny part that sticks in my mind. Is he 's trying a technique of placing his attention on a body part to stop the thought stream. He keeps getting frustrated because he's trying to put attention on the right foot but it keeps going to his left foot . lol

Anyway he claims enlightenment when he finally meets with a guru but I think he was just feed up with the whole searching thing and is just saying that.

It fact in the other web site desertrain linked above he states that him and Duncan are not enlightened.
