She wasn't the channel for the ACIM material though, you know? ohh you're right, looks like she was a student and then taught it. It's been a while since I had the book.

healing crystals in the oval?! Reckon a lump of rose quartz would probably be quite useful in there! It was quite ironic last year that those giving her a lot of flak were, in part, the 'woke' crowd. The uber-woke folks don't like to hear that we can be responsible for our inner experience. Oddly, I'm sure that 'woke' must have been derived from 'awakening'. I spent a bit of time defending/supporting her on twitter, but really, it was an exercise in damage control. From a mainstream and political p.o.v, some of what she said 10-20 years ago was full on wacky. Quite normal to us though

Did you get the feeling they were speaking about you? I was into this Holy Spirit Seminar held for three days. It was the final day of reckoning. We participant's of the Oasis of Love batch 27 gathered together more than three hundred of us inside the Chapel. There were ceremonies taken before the main event. Finally, after praying the Lord's prayer Our Father we were told to close our eyes lift our hands above our heads and to begin speaking in tongues continuously until we became oblivious to what's happening around us. As I was speaking aloud "Aleluja.. Shalala.. Aleluja.. Shalala!" I heard at my back giggling sounds and laughter. Distracted, I stopped speaking in tongues , turned around and asked the giggling lady why she was laughing . She told me when she closed her eyes a vision of her husband appeared before her jumping out of the window after she caught him with a naked woman inside their bedroom. So you were encouraged to speak random gibberish as a sort of mantra to put you in an altered state?

So you were encouraged to speak random gibberish as a sort of mantra to put you in an altered state? Seems that way to me. By constantly repeating the words shalala aleluja put us into a trance, giving us visions, discernment what was being uttered of all sorts of sounds coming out from our mouths. That these were messages from the Holy Spirit descending on us. Similar to what the apostles experienced when the pentecost descending upon them. As I was expecting for that to happen, we heard giggling and laughter from a lady doctor we befriended earlier. Which was described by our mentors what happened to her laughing as the gift of laughter. bestowed upon her by the Holy Spirit. Later, she revealed to us was the cause of her laughter while she was in the trance state, " I saw my husband jump out of the window with a girl naked on our bed as he saw me barged into our bedroom."

Did you get the feeling they were speaking about you? No, but there was a froggish resonance to their speech. Might have been possessed by evil amphibians. Seems like the most likely scenario, given Occam's razor and all.

Quite normal to us though I didn't know who she was until she showed up on the debate stage, and I'm not sure the free world is ready for her to be leader. I bet our Twitter feeds are quite different. broadly speaking I follow lefties/socialists, conspiracy people (some of which like Trump, but i overlook it), comedy people, and spiritual 'teachers'. I find this page quite lovely....https://twitter.com/theimesurable

Satch is doing some emotional work over time here on these forums. ( which now that I think about it, I can relate to directly ) Gopal always had the bottom line on that as it was happening. That defines the limits of his self-honesty in this regard. you mean Satch experiences emotions as he goes about his day? I can relate to that.

Even if you wrongly chant the Lord's name if done sincerely this will happen to you. " Ajamila is the main character of a story in canto 6 of the Bhagavata Purana. In Hinduism, the story of Ajamila is used to illustrate that by uttering God’s divine name, there is hope for even the sinful to be redeemed from their propensity to commit sins. " Wikipedia

Interesting. There's definitely a difference between theory and practice. Closest Zendo is 40 miles ... As A-H keep saying, contrast is a good thing. Looking into these other traditions can help you realize some more finer points about SR, especially about the reality post-SR. It may also prevent you from falling back into some kind of dogma. And speaking of Zendo, I think I have to read Jan van de Wetering's books on Zen again - shocking and absolutely hilarious at the same time! As andy might put it, this was sorted long long ago when I adopted the anti-dogma of rejecting all dogma. I look forward to reading along with your quotes from Jan so my cheap lazy ass don't have to read the book.

Seems to me that the internet in this case is both mask and unmasking at the same time, which is, yes, accelerating the process of evolution along these lines. In terms of philosophy, it's what might be viewed as an early turn in the transition of that process from biological-only to a different media, one in which it was bound to accelerate. Are you saying that when 'being outraged' could be experienced in the safety of a non-biological format it was bound to accelerate? That's part of it. The other is the speed with which people can now share their views, and sometimes the presumption of anonymity can get them to write what they wouldn't say in person. The non-biological format has been happening for a long time because what we're speaking of evolving here is a culture, not an organism.

That defines the limits of his self-honesty in this regard. Yeah, I'm regularly surprised at the kind of emotional/psychological baggage peeps are still carrying around post-SR. But you are where you are. And from there you have to make the best of it. And as A-H like to say, relationships are forever. In that sense, I wish both Satch and Figgles all the best. Nice. Thanks.

I was in a Pentecostal service where everyone started speaking in tongues except me. I've a twitch from it to this day. So traumatized I almost peed mysef. It wasn't so much the babbling, but the writhing that got to me. Somebody like Laughy though, a little twisted, would have dug it. Probably start going through folks wallets and such.I was just freaked. Couldn't figure out what to do with myself, run or just sit and sweat out the weirdness. I'm embarrased to say I ran. Do you folks get a hangover afterwards? Do you remember what you did or said? Does it make any sense to you, In your head, while you're speaking in tongues? Can you rotate your head 360 degrees? public demonstrations of babbling nonsense comes in many forms Yorbi sura fimny forbat loooo! (** takes a step closer **) aaaaaaabbba! Ormni offa omnti yeah yeah yeah!!

healing crystals in the oval?! Not to mention a Department of Peace. That actually sounded like a good idea to me, but also vaguely reminiscent of the Ministry of Love.
