Sorry about what happened, K. Wishing peace for your daughter.. Me and My daughter. This photo was taken last year, A join B-day celebration at home. Thank you very much for this! By habit my eyes looked for a kid in the pic (because of cakes).. Then I read from your last message: "So, how do she and me feel about it? Sober and determined to have that baby back." Something a bit related in my mind: Here I took some pics on the roof terrace.. Then saw that in many pics there was my late father's name (who used to like this vacation town a lot) because the solar energy things on the roof had a brand name same with his name... Maybe it is an empty thought but I tend to not believe in 'time' much..

With regards to time, it says in the book Srimad Bhagavatam that God the Supreme Soul is present in every one`s heart as the Param-atma. He is also from without as the Time factor. He is the cause of our remembrance, intelligence and forgetfulness.

I was attending to a patient yesterday. He is a taxi driver accompanied by his son. The taxi driver said he is tired, his body is in pain, he has headache and cough. I examined him and noticed he has high blood pressure. I said to him he should take a maintenance drug to control and lower his high blood pressure or else he will suffer either a heart attack or stroke. I emphasize the advantage of a healthy body for one to earn a living and survive lest one will be a disability to his relatives instead of an asset. Okay, I said to his son and this taxi driver-patient, " Granted you have a strong, healthy body but your mind is not well. Which would you prefer, a healthy mind but disabled body or a healthy body but a diseased mind? " After hearing them, both son and father laughed. In other words, one should keep at all times a health mind and body. One can`t do without the other to survive and be happy. It`s either your relatives/government gonna take care of you or be alone fend for yourself. That`s life.

Mind as we know it does not exist independently of the body....nor does the body exist without mind.

From Yahoo Answers: What is consciousness? It is an observer of moments. A moment is a subset of existence. All moments make up bubbles of existence. Existence is the total of all possible moments. Consciousness is an observer of a moment or a " snapshot" part of existence. It is a sequence of moments split into past, present and future. The present is always moving forward.

Maybe I should've said "I don't believe in linear time" but then what is nonlinear time : ) Your last post tells a bit.. "moments split into past, present and future"

"moments split into past, present and future" Krsna looks like a 16 year old boy yet he's 125. We see things changing and yet remain the same. I can see myself getting old yet in my heart I feel I am still a boy. Time goes fast when we are busy, slow when we are relaxing.

It very well may have been too much of a good thing, for the doc to give her that much vitamin pills. But we all don't know for sure what caused it to happen. Just be happy things weren't worse. Incidentally, I remember when I was in my early-ish teens, a friend I visited had lots of those tabloid newspapers, and there was an article with photos of babies with deformed heads - seriously deformed. Their facial features (nose, ears, etc.) were all over the place - one had the nose on the crown of their head, etc. So, 'bad' babies do get born. I also had a cousin who had cerebral palsy. I think that people are born with it, aren't they? I was born with ill-formed metatarsals in both feet - everyone back then thought I was pigeon-toed and had to wear those clod-hopper shoes that did no good. Later in life, I found out from a podiatrist that the metatarsals were bowed in and he described my feet like the beginning of club-feet! Eek! They don't look abnormal from the outside, but it explained why everyone thought I had something different going on. There is always a reason why you were born with this metatarsal abnormality. Maybe when you were still inside the womb of your mother, the development of your feet did not turn out the way it should. But you are lucky. Many are born with congenital heart defects, conjoined heads/bodies, etc. Hindu religion says it`s bad karma. That is if you believe in that. Saw the podiatrist a couple days ago, at least now I know what the condition is called: congenital metatarsus adductus. I've watched discussions on 3 different spiritual type forums, and still don't know what to make of it, but as far as I'm concerned, karma will take care of itself with or without my opinion, hah!

Silv, you must be a pigeon in your past life carrying messages from spiritual masters to and fro. With more emphasis on the feet to remind who were before. You did a good job at sending those letters to destinations on time. Keep up the good work friend. 😇

I was born with very flat feet, the left foot is worse than the right. I wore "corrective shoes", the same style shoe, from the first grade to 11th grade. I was pigeontoed also. 22 years ago I was finally forced to get custom orthotics made, the kind that must be made from a mold of your feet. Since then, virtually zero problems with feet.

As a kid, nobody in town (my gp), had a clue I had this congenital deformity, so only being given the notoriously ugly saddle shoes was my only option for help, but it did nothing. I discovered eventually, orthotics would help and had them made a long time ago, but they were worse than nothing, because they slipped around inside my shoes and were just lousy. These days, I don't wear enclosed shoes hardly at all. Feet are just as important as our brains. XD

I discovered eventually, orthotics would help and had them made a long time ago, but they were worse than nothing, because they slipped around inside my shoes and were just lousy. These days, I don't wear enclosed shoes hardly at all. Feet are just as important as our brains. XD My feet did not hurt too bad until I was about 28. Maybe about once a year in one heel or the other I got what I thought were heel spurs, pain in the center of the heel. It might take a few weeks to heal. About 28 this got worse, then about all the time either one foot or the other had "heel spurs". One would heal and the other would get sore. I played softball in the summer and ran some, "jogged". About 31 I had to quit running. Usually played softball once a week. I'd play, one foot or the other would just sore, I'd limp around for a week, then it felt good enough to play the next week. I finally dicided playing wasn't worth it, just quit playing. Well, not exactly true. I'd go to games and play only if ee were short a player. But later stopped altogether. Well, that's not true, I did play a couple of games for our company team, when the boss knew they were going to be short (but they played in a higher very competitive league, so that was rare). Any chugged along until age 40. Then my left foot got so bad I had to see a podiatrist, my left ankle swelled up so that it was twice its size. Went week of Christmas vacation for him to put it in a cast to heal, couldn't walk on it for a week. Went back to get it off to go back to work. He said, no, no, no, it stays on two more weeks, but now you can walk on it. Then after getting cast off he made molds of both feet and in about six weeks had my orthotics. I wore them one hour first day, and then added an hour each day. Feet did beautifully. Within six months I hiked 21 miles in three days on the Appalachian Trail, no problem. Wore those for 20 years until they wore out. They didn't slip around in shoes. The heel cut wrapped up my foot a little so that they couldn't slip around, and they didn't slip forwards and backwards because they were perfectly molded to my feet. I had a couple of other points, but this has gotten long.

One point, I found out that all those years I wasn't getting heel spurs. Because of my flat feet there was extra stress in the main ligament that runs from the back to front of foot, that's what was getting sore. It's called (spelled phonetically) the lateral occuslar calsus. Other point, after 20 years, same doctor, another company made my second orthotics. After two tries they couldn't them right (story on that next tine) so the doctor went back to the first company, and they did beautifully, point of that, I understand how your orthotics didn't work out. ....
