You look for how you deceive yourself. Truth isn't a pot of gold under a rainbow. It's the undistorted expression absent that self deception. I find a lot of looking for gold going on, even though I see the pointlessness of it - but then in the next breath I'm back chasing rainbows... The trick is have a buddy help you, and use a pair of walkie-talkies.

I find a lot of looking for gold going on, even though I see the pointlessness of it - but then in the next breath I'm back chasing rainbows... That's what I'm saying. Conclusions and insights are without real consequences. So, keep chasing away if you feel like it and don't club yourself over the head because of it. My advice usually is to not worry about this spirituality stuff and just enjoy life. As you can see here on the forum, spirituality tends to bring the worst out of people, or as U.G. says, it makes people neurotic. Just follow what's really calling you - doesn't matter what - and that's a guaranteed recipe for flow. Flow experience is as far as you can go as a seeker. It's actually your default state.

What you can know about it is what it is not - that's what I am mostly talking about here. What you can also know about it is how it affects experience - that's what most folks are interested in talking about. Which is fine, but it misses the point because non-duality is about what is real, what does not come and go, and experiences come and go and are therefore are false. And so it is a distraction. Thanks reefs... I'm going to leave the spiritchool stuff alone and go clean the house Yeah, stop trying to become something else, something better or holier or purer. Also, as A-H often say, spirit is all there is. So, cleaning the house is as spiritual as it can get. Or as Ramakrishna said, going to church is praising God and going to a bordello is also praising God.
