"Truth cannot be known because it is prior to the arising of experience.
Experiences are made of the truth. An experience is the truth- awareness or pure consciousness - that has already taken form- has become manifest in time and space. The truth itself is beyond time and space." - Nukunu
I'd heard this before in slightly different words many many times before but yesterday I was really struck by it, especially the first sentence that I separated out - fark.....
What quotes/words have you been struck by after hearing them many times before without "feeling" them?

When you stop seeking Truth, you will have found something of great value, but Truth is not it.

What quotes/words have you been struck by after hearing them many times before without "feeling" them? This above all: to thine own self be true, And it must follow, as the night the day, Thou canst not then be false to any man. -- Billy Shakes speaking through Pollonius in Hamlet Freedom, just around the corner for you. But with the truth so far off, what good will it do? -- Bob Dylan, "Jokerman" If Quantum Mechanics hasn't profoundly shocked you, then you haven't understood it yet. -- Neils Bohr Hell is other people. -- Satre in "No Exit" "All you need is love." -- John Lennon "Let it be" -- Paul McCartney There is no good nor bad but that thinking makes it so. To me, Denmark is a prison. -- Billy Shakes speaking through Hamlet, in Hamlet.

There is no 'right and wrong', only consequences.. and the arbitrary nature of the desirability we assign to those consequences..
Truth is the experience itself, not the words, labels, beliefs, and stories that are attached to the experience..

One word. I've heard it but missed it for years. I now hear it all the time on BBC America (especially on Doctor Who). British:

You - not you specifically natch - may not be false to others, but other people may not always like or want that! Let it Be caught me out a while back. My kids performed that at school as part of Peace Day earlier this year. I was a bit "yeah yeah *yawn*" when I saw it in the program, but it really caught me out when they sang it and I was just quietly (and very gladly) crying in the audience just remembering it makes me tear up!

Good ones. The first by Billy S. is particularly poignant in this forum, precisely because most don't know why it is. plz explain a bit more? When we deceive ourselves, we must deceive others as an expression of that. We must be what we are in our being in any given moment. The converse, of course, is true. Absent self deception, there is no 'energy' for the movement to deceive others, and no reason to do so. All deception is ultimately self deception. (One may protect others with a 'white lie', but that's rather an act of love.)
