I like this idea for it's simplicity. There's beauty in simplicity.
But it is, of course, an extreme over-simplification.
It's the similar to the idea that an oil painting is the movement of a brush.

That's an effective analogy. I wonder if the odds are similar too? Aesthetic experience from oil on paper v. Insight from movement of thought??
Similarly, science is the application of the scientific method....

And what is mind And how is it recognized? If I clearly draw In sumi ink, the sound Of breezes drifting through pine Is all that is seen.

You have to define thought. Mind as the movement of cognition, more accurate. Mind is more than thought.

Mind is the common medium through which existence is made known and shared.. it is the process that organizes the information revealed by experience into understanding, and.. it is also responsible for corrupting the information into inaccurate stories and beliefs.. diligence in the pursuit of clarity is the mind's 'anti-virus program'..

From the Bhagavad Gita
BG 6.5: One must deliver himself with the help of his mind, and not degrade himself. The mind is the friend of the conditioned soul, and his enemy as well.
BG 6.6: For him who has conquered the mind, the mind is the best of friends; but for one who has failed to do so, his mind will remain the greatest enemy.
BG 6.7: For one who has conquered the mind, the Supersoul is already reached, for he has attained tranquility. To such a man happiness and distress, heat and cold, honor and dishonor are all the same.
