I couldn't deal with the OP intellectualized text wall of doom, so I avoided this thread until now. However, Laughter has already answered the infinity question as I would.
All concepts are distinctions formed in thought that don't actually exist outside of thought. There are some ideas that refer to the absence of those ideas, (infinity, emptiness, Being, This, eternity/timeless, boundlessness, 'space') and we can confuse ourselves when we imagine those ideas are also referring to something outside of thought.
All concepts form conceptual boundaries used to distinguish 'this' from 'that'. Infinity refers to the absence of those conceptual boundaries. Trying to imagine where the boundaries of infinity are (Hey, we've all done that, right?) is to misconceive the term and why it's being used.
