Most people follow the easier, softer way, and there is no such thing . There is only the work. If it makes a lot of money or it has a lot of people following it. We'll lets just say that the masses will always be duped. Jesus himself was a non-duality teacher, and his followers were still in duality consciousness. A few decades after his life was over other people wrote about his life. So the teachings have been really screwed up bad. It is no different today. In the world or in this forum it is the same. People in duality consciousness trying share with you non-duality teachings. Freejoy follow your heart, not mine, and not their's.

I read here that sometimes people stop seeking and then never get enlightened. Then also I read that one must stop seeking to get enlightened. Then again there's no one seeking at all. Wisdom is providing what is needed, when it is needed. When things are written down, it's up to the reader to discern whether there is any wisdom for them in that moment.

Speak up about what? About why i'm seeking me? I don't know, but I think it's because I don't feel like I made it to heaven yet. I'm still in the Land of the Lodebar I was just having fun with you, Freejoy. "Your" question, "Who is seeking and why?" is being asked by the very one who is seeking and already understands why. Investigate why you, yourself, are seeking and who you are, and you'll find the answer to all of your questions. Zen Master Rinzai once said, "There is a true man of no status who freely goes in and out through the five gates of the senses." A monk asked Rinzai, "Who is this true man of no status?" Rinzai suddenly grabbed the monk by the collar and shouted, "Speak, speak!" The monk was speechless, so Rinzai shoved him away and said, "What a piece of sh*t this true man of no status is." Ha ha.

Okay, as long as my misery is bringing joy to someones life. To extrapolate on the message, it is not freejoy's misery that is bringing joy to someones life. It's a 'true man of no status's' misery that is bringing joy to a 'true man of no status's' life.... Like ZD, I'd say investigate the deeper meaning of this message, but there isn't actually anyone with choice, free will and volition to do that...hehe

Like ZD, I'd say investigate the deeper meaning of this message, but there isn't actually anyone with choice, free will and volition to do that...hehe Well, that's true and not true at the same time, but I totally agree with the flavor of the no-volition option. Ha ha. FWIW, Freejoy, Zen-type responses (such as Rinzai's response to the monk) can be humorous, but they do have a deeply-serious purpose. They can sometimes trigger deep insights. It's like the ZM who asked the monk where the birds had gone (which they had both seen fly overhead and out of sight). The monk replied, "Master, they've already flown away." The ZM suddenly grabbed the monk's nose, twisted it violently, and yelled, "How could they POSSIBLY have flown away?" This paralyzed the monk, stopped his mind, caused him to break into a heavy sweat, and triggered a huge realization. It was as if the ZM had shoved a steel bar in between some rotating gears, and stopped the mechanical action completely. They had both seen the birds fly out of sight, so how could they still be here? It makes no sense at all, but the realization triggered by the question occurred because it shut down the kind of thinking that usually "makes sense."
