Go stand in front of a mirror for awhile, not figuratively, literally.
Give yourself a good looking over, look both superficially and deeply....and look closely into your own eyes.
Are you disturbed by what you see?
Or are you happy with it?
If you are not made happy by what you see, then a good practice is to stay in front of the mirror, until you are.
If one looks long enough, one begins to love oneself exactly as they already are, and the very aspects or yourself that you loathed, you will come to love. It happens quite naturally, just by looking long enough in the mirror.
Stay in front of the mirror for a good long while, until you love what you see...this is not narcissism, its a return to health, and integration.
To add depth to the practice, repeat your own name, while looking into your own eyes for an extended period of time ;-)

Steve, you have entirely way to much time on your hands.

Steve, you have entirely way to much time on your hands. Conscious living is never TOO time consuming as productivity is improvement immeasurably by it ;-)

Look at it, literally look at it, until you love it, just as it is. If you look at anything long enough, you will come to love it. Neither fix it nor forget about it....look at it until there is love and acceptance.

What has happened is already accepted, and what may happen is imagination....nothing of these is un-acceptable. And what IS happening is what IS....no need for acceptance or denial.

The body isn't "me" is it? So can I make it into a work of art? Sure, but whatever it is right now, love it, and whatever it may become, love it too.

Accept what is...if "what is" is that you are combing your hair, love that too.
one does not need to loath oneself to take a shower, nor does loving oneself mean that you won't take showers lol

Just look at the disgust and by focusing on and watching, and shinning the light of awareness on the disgust it will be healed? Haha...I don't play the "what if" game. too much knowing for me ;-)
