Don't mind me, I know I'm off point here. It's just something that popped in the teeny noggin recently. Who is the smoking man? That question is more interesting to me than what to do with him.

I'm not a name dropper, but perhaps silver has a list. hehe

YES, I often ask myself if I simply have a need to look for babies, to see good in everyone. And maybe that is true. All I can say is that I've always been this way and it doesn't seem like that is ever going to change, not at my age. It is possible that's just how I am "wired." I dunno. The reason it is "about you" is simply because you gave me the opportunity -- a post of mine prompted a post from you, in which you assassinated Reef's character by calling him a malignant bastard. And all I had done was post a link to a thread in which Reefs was posting Adya quotes. My intention isn't even to defend Reefs -- though I do have a pang for including him in the first place. The reason I included him was because I was thinking about how I never pursued nondual teachers, they found me instead, as if I have been led. And yesterday that happened again, I followed that Burt the Bunny link, found the RH forum, started reading through the threads, and discovered Adya for the very first time, in a thread started by Reefs. I can assure you, I'm not going to swallow bs at my age, either. And the very idea that what reefs is doing here on a daily basis has any merit is bs. Do you see him applying ANY of these thousands of quotes, from Ramana- to Niz- to Adya he's posted? Here? Show me an example. Just one. I'll save you the time. There isn't one here. Not one example. Will you just get up the courage to ask Reefs on a date already?

Greetings.. YES, I often ask myself if I simply have a need to look for babies, to see good in everyone. And maybe that is true. It is amazing what can be seen when we're not looking 'for something'.. when we're looking for something, we tend to overlook other things, and.. in the case of 'good', that is an arbitrary value that changes with the differences in people's values.. Be well.. You are truly fascinating.

Ironically, I had just been thinking about suggesting a disparagement thread. I was going to title it "The Foodfight Thread," and suggest that anyone who has a beef with someone's understanding, postings, level of attainment, clarity, motivation, etc. could go there and sling food (mud) to their heart's content. If we had such a thread, then some of us could ignore that thread completely, and enjoy following a single line of investigation, commentary, etc. without having to wade through endless personal attacks. One of the reasons I was happy to see an unmoderated thread show up was for the value of winnowing out a lot of posts that I knew wouldn't interest me. A foodfight thread would be fantastic if everyone would agree to it. Of course, I realize that there might have to be a separate "Foodfight with Enigma" thread because he attracts such vitriolic antipathy. Ha ha. If everyone could agree on such a thread, then the moderator, poor guy, would have the task of transferring any personal attacks that showed up in all of the other threads. Seriously, as it is now, I sometimes have to wade through endless pages of boring back-and-forth bickering while searching for a post I saw (but didn't have time to respond to) that deserves a serious response. This is certainly something that I would vote for if enough forum members expressed an interest in it. I like the idea but the moderation would be heavy, methinks. It'd be a constant task. If there's someone that wants to sign up for that work, I'd endorse them. It should be someone who is 24/7 on the forum. So I can only think of Top and Silver. Silver, however, would have to move most of her own posts then so I guess Top is the only choice at the moment.
