Cleaning up one's house has to be adequately defined first. As was talked about on some thread somewhere, it's all about individual and subjective perspectives. I haven't seen anybody define what it is to clean up one's house, so it's still all completely nebulous and shapeless. Therefore, nobody will ever be satisfied who looks for the whole world to sing kumbayah together. It won't happen and you all will continue to be free to pay lip service to some special coming of the day when everybody gets the houses cleaned up. TMT No way. Nope....that's on you guys. Ok. So tell me. What's it mean to clean up one's house. Define your terms...define what it means for the whole world to clean their houses. I mean it. What good does it do to say something like that, it could mean anything.

If "clean up your own house" doesn't work for you, throw it away.

You can't tell the world to clean up their house and have them wondering if you have a problem with their housekeeping standards (physical standards) -- so what is it that you guys keep talking about, then? It was all your idea. I can't go by anyone else's terms but the people I'm talking to. I'm asking what do you all mean by that? If we're all talking and using this general phrase of cleaning one's house we have to understand what it means exactly -- what's going on in each person's head that is saying it, otherwise it's utterly meaningless.

Yep most folks hope for the rest of the world to become free of suffering before they think their suffering can end, they don't realize if they were free of suffering the effect on the world that will have . Maybe cleaning ones house is an impossible task , for sure burning it down collapses the boundaries that veil reality......

"Reality" ... what?? ... like butterflies and moonbeams and fairytales? ... nah little-wing, that's all you! If you think there is a world outside of and separate from you then there's a good chance you'll see a need to change it.

Anyone who looks outside and sees enemies and takes action is bound to pollute the world that they see one way or another. Gotta clean their own house. There's no understanding this with the mind ahead of time, so if it doesn't work for you just ignore it. If I try to explain it in such a way that it doesn't bother you then what I explain to you isn't what it's pointing at.

You were lining up to agree about housecleaning -- I simply wanted to know what you all meant by that -- specifics. I have no idea what your post even means.

Well actually for the sake of this thread I was the first one to use that expression. I have no idea what your post even means. And as long as you take yourself to be an isolated, cut-off, individuated person separate from everything you consider to be not what you are there's nothing I can say to you to get you to understand it.

So, isn't that then, that you are actually advocating oneness as opposed to separateness?
