We'll most likely call any behavior we like 'good', and any behavior we don't like 'bad'. If it's really, really good, we'll use a word like 'saintly'. If it's really, really bad, we'll use a word like 'evil'. What we like and don't like may vary with time and culture, and so what we call good and evil will vary. It would be a mistake to seek the nature of a label that we invented somewhat arbitrarily according to our likes and dislikes. I myself don't think that tearing it down to this level is really conducive to a more in-depth exploration of the topic. I'm interested more in the dynamics of 'good' and 'evil' within human endeavors and within the world of all animals / the rest of creation and their interactions with humans.

When I read in what enigma said, the meaning that I assign to it, is that I don't have to look outside of myself to find the nature and meaning of good and evil. All that's required is to examine my own likes and dislikes. All that's required is to look inward. What I read in what enigma said is that to look outside of myself for good and evil is like looking around the room for the pair of classes that I propped up onto my forehead a half hour ago.
