I think Dattaswami's point (from reading his website) is that you've got to be the right sort of devotee, not just any old devotee per se.
The philosopher has never killed any priests, whereas the priest has killed a great many philosophers.

What is the essence of justice? got to be Onesidedness, surely! If God is the essence of us all..... then god is doing silly-things to Her/Himself for the purpose of ego identification. ie, The 'I Am' self is ego just as you are ego-#two! The ego dishes out JUSTICE when the spirit moves-us into action as Judge and Jury! |
