Hehe. Actually, i was just pondering how Michael often stimulated useful discussions by presenting what I see as misconceptions, which maybe others share and some clarity could be brought to it in our collective jabbering about it. In the end, there's an unrelenting perfection to it all, but since it IS unrelenting, no opportunities have been lost.

Ahh, the backhand. Looking forward to seeing that one returned. Yes indeed, spring is here and I'm back living in the Corsican mountains, looking after children and rebuilding a house. Bought two sets of size 9 rubber gloves - one pair for the washing up, and one pair for mixing plaster of paris. Michaelsees, why are you posting as a Guest? Have you forgotten your password again?

I thought this thread was the part where we speak ill of the dead (Michael), but I could be mistaken bout that.

Since Michael has left, you think that that Neo guy will finally show up?

I for one didn't read those "discussions" with michael, I just found them annoying. But there was an exception where you were discussing realization vs experience that clarified some things for me:)

In the end, there's an unrelenting perfection to it all, but since it IS unrelenting, no opportunities have been lost. i've been pondering Michaelsees absence and that whole little last drama (daytime soap operas are getting cut out of tv-land -- must be ST that's overwhelmed the competition). the concept of low-hanging fruit has been sticking around. Msees offered up lots of them for this newbie -- the good the bad and the ugly. how does one discern truth from untruth? follow your nose, it always knows (watched lots of TV as a kid). mostly it's easier for me to smell untruths. funnily enough, it's the truths that remain unknown -- and just so. but Randy was always hanging out untruth-fruit. and the truths too. but those were harder to grab...maybe because they were ungrabbable? don't know. and really i don't know. Han Solo's "sorry for the mess" line comes in. but it's sort of embarrassing. Randy, happy voyage to you! mebbe our paths will cross again sometime? there are no hard feelings here, just a little puzzled.

I found myself caught between wanting to capitalize on the discussion potential and wanting to avoid stimulating too much ugliness for folks.

I found myself being interested in potential centers from which so many of the statements were being made, so I kept asking questions. There seemed to be a tremendous amount of conflict at times, but I wasn't really sure if M wasn't just stirring the pot, taking the piss out of folks, or actually believed in the projections. Crazier things have happened....and no, nothing is lost.

From my perspective, and I'm sure folks will take it as such, there's quite a bit of unconsciousness manifesting in the form of projections, judgments and hidden motivations, and as I mentioned, this can be present alongside an impressive level of intelligence, eloquence and knowledge. I wouldn't call him eloquent or impressively intelligent, but he's a smart, informed guy, and it can be deceptive. The giveaway is when he stops paraphrasing what he's learned and starts offering his personal perspectives.

The giveaway is when he stops paraphrasing what he's learned and starts offering his personal perspectives. Ya, that's a good strategy for looking for where the rubber meets the road, so to speak. Good to be aware of, thanks. My difficulty in communicating through these kinds of forums is that I rarely, if ever talk about these kinds of things with anyone outside of this ST forum, so I tend to just try my hand...probably poorly, but I'm OK with that! It's not all that necessary, but more of a hobby. Furthermore, on a daily basis, I'm also constantly communicating cross-culturally in a style that is highly dependent on context, where what is not said can be equally or even more important to what is said, so to be effective really requires a greater awareness of the context (goals, participants, attention to forms of non-verbal communication, accepted/shared terminology for such topics, etc). All good. Thanks.

Yer a good guy to pay attention to. You have your own....um....unique style, but I resonate with what you say and never find the urge to get in a pissing contest. Hehe.
