Is existence something 'fundamental?'
It seems it's just a concept, similar to those of space and time...

What do you mean by existence?
Are you trying to say you don't exist? Of course, to recognize either case would require something to exist.

Yeah, existence would look pretty silly sitting around talking about how it doesn't exist.

Porto: What in the world are you talking about? LOL. Existence? Non-existence? Its time to wash the dishes. Ha ha.

According to Niz, the Absolute is beyond existence and non-existence. So I think it is just a concept like time & space.

Eric & Enigma: I'm not saying existence doesn't exist. I'm just saying it's a concept that's not necessarily required for stuff to be recognized. In many non-dual talks it's presented as a given fact, prior to everything. It's not.
Zendancer: Yes, I'm long due to wash the dishes and sweep the floors.

According to Niz, the Absolute is beyond existence and non-existence. So I think it is just a concept like time & space. 'Absolute' is just a concept. What Is, is beyond absolute and relative. IOW, everything we can talk about is 'just a concept', so the issue isn't meaningful and there are dishes to be washed! (Meaningful being just a concept.) As to it being fundamental, of course it is, in a conceptual framework. What's more fundamental than existence? As for it not being necessarily required, I don't know of anything that is required. As for dualistic concepts cancelling each other out and leaving nothing, that's just a concept. Hehe.

It's all semantics...even 'what is' The trick is to pay attention to the what is, the nothingness, the silence and the stillness, without words and concepts. You, are not the concepts, but that which observes all concepts.

As to it being fundamental, of course it is, in a conceptual framework. What's more fundamental than existence? Is existence more fundamental than an object or subject that exists? I would say existence shows up at the same time as the object or subject!

That's what makes it so fun-damental.
