Hey Glimmer, what happened to the pouring out poem? I saw it and thought about something from CS Lewis we had spoken before... I will put a part of the Waterfall chapter of his book the Great Divorce : )
Before me green slopes made a wide amphitheatre, enclosing a frothy and pulsating lake into which, over many-coloured rocks, a waterfall was pouring. Here once again I realised that something had happened to my senses so that they were now receiving impressions which would normally exceed their capacity. On earth, such a waterfall could not have been perceived at all as a whole; it was too big. Its sound would have been a terror in the woods for twenty miles. Here, after the first shock, my sensibility 'took' both, as a well-built ship takes a huge wave. I exulted. The noise, though gigantic, was like giant's laughter: like the revelry of a whole college of giants together laughing, dancing, singing, roaring at their high works.
Near the place where the fall plunged into the lake there grew a tree. Wet with the spray, half-veiled in foam-bows, flashing with the bright, innumerable birds that flew among its branches, it rose in many shapes of billowy foliage, huge as a fen-land cloud. From every point apples of gold gleamed through the leaves.
(*note: then a ghost takes one of the apples but it is too heavy for it, it starts to carry it with difficulty)
"Fool. Put it down," said a great voice suddenly. It was quite unlike any other voice I had heard so far. It was a thunderous yet liquid voice. With an appalling certainty I knew that the waterfall itself was speaking: and I saw now (though it did not cease to look like a waterfall) that it was also a bright angel who stood, like one crucified, against the rocks and poured himself perpetually down towards the forest with loud joy.
"Fool," he said, "put it down. You cannot take it back. There is not room for it in Hell. Stay here and learn to eat such apples. The very leaves and the blades of grass in the wood will delight to teach you."

HHey Zin, poetry should flow like the waterfall, and the heart. That one just didn't flow as it should have. Mr Lewis .. ah yes, indeed.

the edge of my mind a zigzag line compatible with nothing
no 'seamless flow' no boundlessness a borrowed I & a borrowed eye
can catch poems can invent them, too that's not too bad!

hey, saw a CS Lewis adaptation of the Screwtape Letters .. it was a fine production .. I had started to read the letters but didn't continue... just now looked at quotes from them and got interested again. They give me the impression that the 'demons' can put ideas into people's minds (to serve "Our Father Below" ( )) and also can prevent useful ones from coming into minds... and that can make wonderful fun. One quote: "When they have really learned to love their neighbours as themselves, they will be allowed to love themselves as their neighbours."

Where are they flying off to? Soaring into a sky on fire .. They're heading out into the darkest and richest of blue, with only an expanse of the deep below them At home now in the unknown, there is no charting their course Those few clouds, off in the distance, bear a silent witness to their freedom Refrain from melancholy at a departure of what blew in on the bay breeze They had circled the city regarding the spires and people below A hum as if from the network of wires snaking through the streets lent turbulence to their flight As they pass on into the great wild ocean wind It only seems the going that matches the past arrival Like book ends on an empty shelf

spare change
I need to get low cut down, halved filleted, trimmed you get the picture
sometimes I get too tall too opinionated so sure of myself negating all others
so wrapped up in my own ideation that I think I'm thriving within systems
truth is, its without do we question thought at all? separate identity?
or free will for that matter hell, we've been wrong on lots of things why not these?
don't think the hi-tech preachers or the sciences can make it clearer sometimes the ancient knowledge is best not to be exclusive
as a light to current things besides who has questioned when faced with a baby's smile? getting wet in a sun shower?
truth be told there are mysteries in the simplest of acts in the mastery of words the shimmer of silence
maybe I don't need to get low maybe I'm okay at this size 'sides if I were to be halved you'd have to lend me two quarters

it's not that bad, was open to all-view. it's not that bad, was happier. it's not that bad, was the everyday and everyday people. it's not that bad, was fresh than my average.
