What happens when you SEE an illusion for what it is, and without any doubt? That's a multi-part interesting question ... To me, the idea of " without any doubt" is a warning for my being wrong. There is almost nothing in reality that I can think of, and not having any doubt. Then, to me, an " illusion" is a held belief when I realized that it was false. It is also possible that my realization about that belief to have been false, and not the belief. Beliefs are conscious (our assumptions), and unconscious (our truths, that we don't even think of questioning). " Seeing", in this context, is like waking up to a new reality, with a new set of beliefs (especially truths). It is like becoming lucid in your dream, or like passing over (dying). If you had a "life-between-lives" regression, you probably experienced dying (I don't talk about NDEs, which aren't real dying). Right, in any convo worth its salt, we are getting to the crux of what is known/believed by the mind and what is SR/TR. Such knowledge/beliefs held in the mind (in how I sometimes attempt to express it, anyway) are worldly things/movements bound by duality and, as such, are tinged with doubt as a necessary aspect of the relative/probable. It can be seen in convos on non-duality when the mind is trying to think its way through the 'reasoning' when it concludes that reality must be both dual and non-dual. It might be said that the sum of the two (a mental function) does not equal the realization of the Whole, the latter which is without doubt (i.e., not worldly knowledge/belief/conceptual). The strange thing is that, even with certain realizations or even glimpses of such Purity, the momentum of mind, with all of the synapses still firing off via memory/conditioning, will still resort to reasoning it out, taking credit, or otherwise getting caught up in certain unconscious webs of deceipt, obscuring the clarity of the glimpse. Does that make sense? Beliefs and knowledge about the world and how it works are one thing; on the other hand, beliefs about Truth are what is to be brought into greater focus and questioned if one is honestly searching, re-searching and/or SEEing from Claridad/Silencio.

sree, Have you ever read Flatland by Abbott? A very exceptional book, everyone should read it. It's about 2 dimensional beings who live in a 2D world. It's about what they experience when the 3D world enters their world. Metaphorically, sree lives in 2D. Almost everyone here lives in 3D, some in 4D. Some here have even touched 5D (metaphorically). So everything you write about here is 2D. We just shake our heads...and say, maybe...

This forum is a microcosm of the stinking world out there in which we live. We have injustice out there and we have the same damn shit in here. And it has to do with your irresponsibility, your willingness to wallow in the disharmony because it's not your business.

Oh my my now. Here, I'll break it down for ya'. It's possible to gain the insight that your body isn't really separate from the Earth, and that the Earth isn't really the Earth as we know it without the Sun (ie, that the Earth-Sun form a system, and aren't really "separate"). This is a shadow of nonduality. The metaphor, stated in direct, linguistic metaphorical terms is: "the physical connection between body, Earth and Sun" is a meta- phor the "absence of separation of nonduality". The term " physical metaphor" was applicable because the first element of the metaphor involved physical entities: your body, the Earth and the Sun, while the second element of the metaphor - nonduality - has no direct physical analog, which is why, of course, combining/comparing/contrasting the two is entirely symbolic. As in (wait for it .. drumroll ...) metaphorical. You might want to consider the possibility that you're not as smart as you imagine you are. You're tryin' waaaaay too hard here fella'. This is a fallacy. Another projection, perhaps. For some of us, the impetus for an interest in spirituality is curiosity. Your idea of humanity is interesting in a philosophical sense, but the ultimate value of spiritual philosophy - as demonstrated (if by nothing else) by human history - is quite limited.
You are not answering my direct question. Incorrect. I did, you either didn't understand, or overlooked it, or you are playing a game. I repeat. What is your definition of "physical metaphor"? And I repeat (and this was just the punchline): The term " physical metaphor" was applicable because the first element of the metaphor involved physical entities: your body, the Earth and the Sun, while the second element of the metaphor - nonduality - has no direct physical analog, which is why, of course, combining/comparing/contrasting the two is entirely symbolic. As in (wait for it .. drumroll ...) metaphorical. I am questioning your use of the English Language. You are not Gopal, a Tamil from India. You have no excuse for lack of proficiency in the use of English. I am of the opinion that you are sloppy in your use of reason and your English reflects crooked thinking. The reason for disorder in the world is our inability to think straight.
If you continue to flail at the words on the page in this manner, the level of self contradiction that you'll eventually express will be impossible for even you to not notice. This is meltdown.

sree's starting to flirt with a meltdown. I think your laughing persona is a facade to hide your lack of substance. The Dalai Lama comes to mind. Here is another Laffy in the video below.
Did you ever watch any of the original Star Trek series?

sree's starting to flirt with a meltdown. It seems we're still in the early flailing around/denial stage. He keeps stirring the mud koolaid and talking about how clear and and especially delicious it is, so I guess that's his game for hiding. Not enough honesty. I think his report of self-isolation is accurate. He's also described burning through other forums. His trolling seems to have had some effect here, but, reading between the lines of what he's written, not the one he's used to. So now he's in a sort of double-bind: (1) he's got a sense that we're telling him the truth, but of course, like any other people-peep, (2) that truth is inconvenient and uncomfortable. Did you read him writing about his sense of anxiety? He doesn't want to make the choice to leave himself, and that's a mixed bag. Partly out of the loneliness, partly out of pride, which of course, is what the trolling strategy was about on those other forums. Open question as to whether or not he's even partially conscious of any of these underlying movements of mind.

Right, so that seems to be the mind exploring that sense of where pure awareness is touching the movement of the bifurcating mind. So, it might be said that the mind has a greater desire to understand its own reasons and structure for the whys and hows all this is happening than simply merging with the vast infinite potentiality (i.e., Consciousness) in/as which all this is occurring. Yes?

There's an anxiety that arises from the wave seeing the tumult of waves, and one that arises in coming to terms with the ocean swallowing the wave. The data seems to indicate the former, while hoping to be respected for putting off the latter, all without ever have realized Being the ocean. Not very becoming of a sree of any depth.
