I have shared my cosmology and my anthropology here before, only a few have been interested, they have mostly left the forum. Simplified, it's a "4-layer-cake". Bottom layer, Ground/Source, is Supreme, Ordering, Conscious, Intelligence. You could also call this the realm of Spirit. It's impersonal. This is the highest rate of vibration. The next layer is the abode of the soul, the 2nd. Realm of very high vibration, but less than SOCI. It is personal in some sense, but not in any sense that we understand it. (You could call this the Seth2 realm). There is another realm below the 2nd, but still not perceivable by the ordinary senses or any scientific instruments. This 3rd realm is formed from yet lower rate of vibration. (You could call this the Seth realm). Then we have this material world, the 4th. Here, we have a physical body, it's our operating vehicle, a meatsuit. Why don't we experience world 3 or world 2? We are not born with a fully formed body constituted of those levels of vibration. We have it only in potential.
This is why non duality spoken in terms that I hear often is just bonkers .
The actual dream metaphor only relates to the physical world where on has a dream .
What about the millions of other dimensions where individuals cannot dream and have this likeness or comparison .
All the non duality bots are doing is comparing an experience had from the physical realm .
It's so one dimensional and short sighted, but it's made out to be absolute truths ..
There is so much missing from such premises its laughable .
When questioned about such things you are met with ridicule or you are blamed for being woo woo .
You can't make it up .
Yes, agree. I've posted a lot of stuff over the years that probably doesn't get much read. I've gotten a lot of, that's just imaginary, beyond the conceptual world there is just one Whole, abstractions are what causes divisions and separation etc.
There is a lot of parallel and overlap, ND and my view, but if I get down into the weeds it stops conversations. I can't help that. But to speak to ND. We, my tradition, there is the principle of simultaneity. Say you wish to observe yourself walking in a parade. Observe means to how things are happening, now. This immediately throws thought out the window. A thought is like a copy of a moment, it is in a real sense, a copy. Walking, I take a step. If the ordinary mind tries to do it, ordinary meaning a kind of copy machine, if thought enters, you miss the next foot stepping. Now, memory is useful, is necessary in life, but thought is too slow. But attention is not too slow, attention can observe the present-movement of the legs. This is simple, but it is not easy. Why? Because the copy-machine always wants to interfere, its job is basically to make copies of everything. But making a copy necessarily pulls in time, there is a time lag between the event and ordinary-mind-trying-to-observe. This is where in practice (observing with attention) the principle of simultaneity enters. Correct observing does not require time, it necessitates the absence of time. I learned this 46 years ago. This is what I have called a recipe. If I learned the principle could I do the first time? No. But I keep trying, because I have also learned, by recipe, the why it's important. And I know the how. So, gradually, I experience movement in the present moment...simultaneity is necessary.
I will give another example. Do you surf? I'll guess not, but you've seen it. You are out on your surfboard, looking for a bigger wave. You have to learn to position yourself (your body) in relation to where the waves begin to break. This is something you have to learn by doing over and over. But you begin to paddle to synchronize your body to the flow of the wave. You catch it, you are up, riding the wave. ~You~, the body & board, has to reach a point of simultaneity with the movement of the wave. And you ride the wave in a kind of continuous falling, controlled falling. You are letting the wave push the board, the wave and board are in synch. This, is flow. Now, conceptual thought is not help here, none whatsoever. Thought cannot keep up with what's necessary to stay with the wave, the slight shifts in balance. And then if you've watched a pro surf competition, the expert knows how to do fancy moves to get extra points. But you get the principle? Wave moving, you have to synchronize your body with the speed of the wave. For us, this is simultaneity.
Are you getting ahead of me? I hope so. So what's another name for simultaneity? Nondual. You see, all of life is a movement like the wave. But the vast majority of people are either ahead of the "wave" or behind the "wave". Why? Because they live through thought, through thinking. And what is the thinker? The thinker is the cultural self, the small s self, the ego. So if one functions through the self, you can NEVER synch with the movement of life. You will either crash, life swamps you, the wave crashes over you, or you miss the wave altogether. And there is no waiting for a next wave, because life doesn't wait.
So what constitutes the ordinary self, the small s self? Memory. The cultural self is like a computer program, it consists of code. So the self CAN NEVER ride the present-moment wave, it's just not constructed to do it. But the true self is, the true self can. The true self only exists in the present moment.
So you have to at least get this theoretically to even have a conversation. But ~you~ can never understand it unless ~you~ experience it. But then, ~you~ are Not-There in the experience.
That's just about the best it can be put into words. Nobody likes to explain. Why? Because it cannot really be explained.
I will try to explain one more point. Say you are an actor. You have won a major part in a play. You learn the lines. You have opening night. Everything goes well. You do again next night. You are an actor playing a part. You do for months, years even, on Broadway. But one day some wires get crossed in your brain, it happens sometimes. You forget you are an actor playing a part, you come to believe that you are the real person whose lines you are saying. Now, the view presented here is basically that. You, the real you, has forgotten that you are an actor playing a part and ~you~ now-believe you are the character in the play. So this is the whole world, billions of people mis-take themselves for a character in a play. And this realization business is about coming to realize *who-you-are* is not the the character (is not the culturally conditioned self).
If you read all that, you advance a space in the game, or a level. But just remember, when thought enters, operates, it takes you out of the present moment. {Way down the road that's not necessarily so}.
