So zazeniac sees a lack of honesty in the other because he himself is lacking honesty? "Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar". Very clever. Because Freud said the contrary, it makes you think of penis.

Nonsense. A little venting can actually be healthy. Maybe you should try it sometime. Indeed. However, in SDP's case, his political views have slowly poisoned relationships with other members on this forum who don't see things as SDP sees them. Quite ridiculous, actually, if you think about what SDP keeps writing here about non-reactivity, but it's a sad fact. That's the power of an unchecked monkey-mind. It will lead to self-deception and then self-destruction. I'm only interested in the truth, the facts aren't open to interpretation. I'm OK with letting the courts decide and the voters decide. He whose name cannot be spoken is the monkey-mind-king.

Grandma is spiritual fire! She sees your sins and your failed spiritual practices, and holds your faces to the flames of penance! No one is safe!

You both went unconscious and fell into a big black hole. The zennist at least stopped digging now, it seems. But you went away and came back with a heavy excavator. Hello?!

Next time this happens and you feel the urge to jump in, type it out but don't post it. When you can do that, you can move on to the next level, logging in but not typing it. And after you've mastered that level, you can move to not even logging in anymore. Should be a piece of cake for a zennist. Dude, you just can't stop yourself. I've had enough of tour bullshit. I see 't' is next to 'y' on the keyboard. Looks like you and stardustpilgrim really pissed off Grandma, but I can't see why. Why are you guys such un-evolved losers? Does Grandma have a real life identity, so you can attend Satsang and absorb her holiness? Or is it just a virtual guru?

Solid point, but if you see shadow psychology, then you also know how utterly futile that attempt at debate is. Life teaches, using harsher methods.

You just hurt yourself ... Two monks were walking along the road and came to a river where a woman was stranded, afraid to cross. The one monk offered to carry her across. Success, and the monks continued their journey. About two miles down the road, the other monk finally burst out. Don't! you! know! the offense you've! committed!? You've broken our vows against touching a woman! The one monk answered, I left her back at the river's edge, you're still carrying her. I meant well . Many nightmares are meant to trigger "lucid dreaming". Many awake situations that cause you intense fear, anger, frustration, have the same purpose: to bring you " lucidity", to re-establish the innate connection to the inner self when awake, like a student who knows why he is in school, like a game player who knows he plays it to acquire skills, not for fun, like anybody who understands that he does a job as part of his growth and development, not only because he needs the money. It is a matter of perspective. You liked the word "immersed" ... Your default state should be of "lucidity", from which you consciously "immerse" yourself in whatever needed, whenever needed, to the optimum degree needed, for how long needed, only. Your story has a deeper interpretation that you seem to suggest. The interpretation depends only on your beliefs and approach.

People don't think they have beliefs, because the beliefs are invisible, it's what-they- are, what they consider themselves to be. It's kind of like being in a cult, you never recognize you are a cult member, until you're out. You don't realize you had a belief, until your belief changes. And then the new belief, likewise, you think, now I have the truth. Rinse and repeat.
