that should be required viewing for all of Syracuse nation oh, that, yeah, pretty ugly. I agree with andy about the irony of how "woke" is being used in a political context these days, but the frat vid was unconscious sleep walking at it's worst.

The non-biological format has been happening for a long time because what we're speaking of evolving here is a culture, not an organism.

Not to mention a Department of Peace. That actually sounded like a good idea to me, but also vaguely reminiscent of the Ministry of Love. "It enforces loyalty to Big Brother through fear, buttressed through a massive apparatus of security and repression, as well as systematic brainwashing." I liked that book better when it was a far fetched work of fiction Ain't no politics free of this, ain't nothing new under the sun, and the more things change, the more they stay the same.

The non-biological format has been happening for a long time because what we're speaking of evolving here is a culture, not an organism. We can look back at some aspects of our history as barbaric, but evolution, in relative terms, has no vector forward that isn't a product of some system of value -- which is fine, by the way, but simply is what it is. On the other hand, while I can imagine the possibility of a world where the outrage of the inner wolf of any human being is never again put to the unconscious service of deliberately causing the suffering of others, my conditioned mind is such that I'm unable to imagine how or when that would ever happen.

The evolution of outrage is when it is used deliberately, though not to cause 'suffering'. That's what the politicisation of wokeness is.

Most interesting quote from Ramana.
Q: How does this silent power work?
A: Language is only a medium for communicating one's thoughts to another. It is called in only after thoughts arise. Other thoughts arise after the ‘I’-thought rises and so the ‘I’-thought is the root of all conversation. When one remains without thinking one understands another by means of the universal language of silence. Silence is ever-speaking. It is a perennial flow of language which is interrupted by speaking. These words I am speaking obstruct that mute language. For example, there is electricity flowing in a wire. With resistance to its passage, it glows as a lamp or revolves as a fan. In the wire it remains as electric energy. Similarly also, silence is the eternal flow of language, obstructed by words. What one fails to know by conversation extending to several years can be known instantly in silence, or in front of silence – Dakshinamurti and his four disciples are a good example of this. This is the highest and most effective language.9

Ramana said an interesting thing about readiness for realization. He said some folks were like coal where it took a long time to finally catch. Other where like charcoal where there was less time necessary and yet others were like gun powder. It was instantaneous.

Some horses have to be whipped hard to get them to go, some moderately, and some very slightly. Then, there are a few horses who "only have to see the shadow of the whip."

I find this page quite lovely....https://twitter.com/theimesurable "You are a Divine Flower and when the wind of awakening touch you, a sweet pollen of Bliss comes out of You..." where did this come from? who retweeted this? oh, the last wind... oy vey These guys videos are genius....not sure how to share here in a better format...

That damaged me permanently. I don't think I can recover. I'll never look at Olivia or John without severe, gut wrenching disgust. Oh the humanity!
