I have enjoyed joining this group briefly, but it has mainly focused my understanding that genuine spiritual endeavour is a solitary occupation. If the ego has dissolved, there is no need to discuss it with anybody else. That MIGHT be an ego view of the matter (and my reply here might also be an ego perspective on the matter!) My experience is also that spiritual growth is ultimately a solitary thing. Any form of 'death' has to be solitary really. Any form of 'death' has to be solitary really. That is a great statement.

It might be too late, but this is interesting, and the kind of thing that can be useful. Because IMO, what this discussion board does best is reveal ego blind spots. What do you believe a useful spiritual discussion board would offer? I have yet to see a spiritual forum that doesn't have ego posturing, but in a sense, at least it is somewhat overt here. I find the covert stuff even more problematic. Thanks Andrew. I'm still here at the moment I'm not sure there is such a thing as a useful discussion board for spiritual development. Once one reaches a certain point, it becomes obvious it is a solitary endeavour, requiring practice and dedication. That does not mean one should not be part of a community, but it is no longer an intellectual exercise. it is a lived thing. it requires presence in the environment about you, and an understanding of one's presence - or recognition of one's absence. A discussion is useful, briefly, to help articulate things. but arguing over minutiae is not any benefit to spiritual development. the broad concepts are simple, pardon the obvious contradiction there. Once one grasps the major concepts, then there is work to be done. Yeah, I really can't disagree with that, which is a shame in a way, because a bit of disagreement does keep conversation going haha. I've been here about 13 years, on and off, and I find there's a depth of communication, thoughtfulness and insight that draws me. There's definitely ego too at times, but I'd say there's a general shared value in bringing awareness to ego dynamics (even if they aren't always released). Whatever you decide, wishing you well on your path.

I misspoke in a sense. The absolute can't be enumerated. It is not a thing. It is beyond time and space. There's a misplaced fondness for One in some circles. Seems an oversimplification. I have enjoyed joining this group briefly, but it has mainly focused my understanding that genuine spiritual endeavour is a solitary occupation. If the ego has dissolved, there is no need to discuss it with anybody else. I enjoy your frankness. It goes a long way. It's refreshing. I come back here because this place is a reminder. And I've developed a fondness for these "assorted characters of death and blight. Mixed ready to begin the morning right."😁 When you see your true face, come back and share with us.

Thankl you friend. i thin I'll stay for a little bit. there are not many places where one can have these discussions and i dont need to be here every day. Obviously i got a bit peeved by Melvin and his AI fascination, but, as has been seen, it can lead to better things

AI on the forum bothered me a while back, and I argued that we shouldn't allow it here. I'd probably still prefer it if there was no AI here, but maybe some folks appreciate it, so I usually just jump those messages now.

I remember I posted on this forum repeatedly something this way, Andrew Intelligence , AI, Andrew Intelligence, AI, Andrew Intelligence AI, Andrew Intelligence, AI, Andrew Intelligence, AI, Andrew Intelligence, AI. This got Reefs so pissed off, I was banished from ST.

If the ego has dissolved, there is no need to discuss it with anybody else. I believe that I am here in the physical reality, in this place, moment, probability, for a reason. I may have participated in choosing this. So, I have to the best of my abilities to find out what that reason is, and to the best of my abilities work on it. "Discussing" is a way of interacting. I need to interact with the reality, otherwise I wouldn't be here.

One may believe that, but as far as I know, everything is connected. There are free-will and individual-choice, but they don't amount to solitude. If you (impersonal use here) believe that you are alone (on your spiritual quest, in your death), then you'll experience that, but that's an illusion, and it is detrimental: it prevents you from consciously getting the guidance and knowledge that is provided to you. You'll still get them subconsciously, but you're slowed down.

This got Reefs so pissed off, I was banished from ST. So why are you doing it again? I thought at the time andrew's views were AI. That's why I posted that. I was not posting AI during that time. I am posting AI here on my thread " The Truth " to help me interpret Nisa's 229 " I am " quotes. That was the purpose of the thread. Some quotes arise in my.mind. i expand them also using AI. It helped me understand the meaning what these quotes stand for. No offense really if I also use AI interpretation I quoted from some of the posts on other threads. They helped me comprehend what they were trying to point at. Explanations I believe carry with them pointers. Since it takes a lot of time reflecting on these points, I use AI, a method of value in assisting and ultimately find me that pot of gold. Your question, Why I am doing it again? No, I never did AI here before ( that was at figgles SG). It's only now that it gave me the idea using AI I quote. To help me understand what that quote meant. I can not quote all the time what you say here then asking you what that means. That would be asking too much. Explaining something requires a lot of intelligence. In my practice of medicine, patients ask me questions about the diagnosis from lab results requested. Often times I cant fully explain to them what the diagnosis was, how it should be treated. So, I use google to help me find out. Then explain to them from this reference. Prior to search engines, smartphones, there were books on the table, opening, scanning its pages looking for the answers. Today, these answers from questions are only a smartphone/ search engines away.

If, as I understand reality, you hurt only the patients who (at an inner level) accept to be hurt, you are unaware that you hurt your inner-self's growth too, which causes you suffering.

By doing the maha mantra, I help them a lot, ease their suffering and mine, too. I am glad I am not a morbid entity. I did not know they still exist.

I witnessed both my Mum and Dad passing, and although I felt they were both 'ready', I was struck by the sense that it was something they both had to do alone. I don't mean that in a negative sense, in fact, quite the opposite really. In a sense, it's between the individual and God.
