While being in the Now is the ultimate place to be, it is also important to take inventory of where you have been and what sabotaging patterns need to be cleared. If you are going to delve into the past at all, it should not be to get stuck or to hold on to resentments - it is important to instead draw Wisdom from it, it is a place where lessons have been learned and a new approach to things can be realized. If the negatives of the past are just swept under the carpet or denied - no amount of Now will prevent them from coming up again unless real change has been fully integrated and committed to. While in the Now, be sure to be fully conscious and be fully aware of what needs to be avoided, so that the Now is blossoming into the future, rather than being inhibited by the same weeds that keep coming up again and again.

Those of us with spiritual awareness need to focus our energies, during these cleansing times, not on trying to understand why people are experiencing what they are, or how to prevent it, but rather on offering the energies of love, hope, peace and courage to sustain those who experience "harsh awakenings" waking them up to the deeper meaning of existence in their life's journey.

You will find that it’s necessary to let some things go simply for the reason that they’re heavy on your heart and soul. Let go of them. Don’t clamp shackles to your own ankles. It’s incredibly easy to enjoy more of your life right now, no matter what the situation. It’s just a matter of letting go of the layers of nonsense that are weighing you down. Let go of your worries and fears, of your rage and jealousy, of your need to always be right and control others. Let go of your pretentiousness and your need to have everything your way. Underneath all these layers of nonsense there is a happy, productive person. When you start peeling them off and simply appreciating everything for what it is, life can be wonderfully fulfilling.

Take a mental inventory of everything in your life... your family, friends, home, or job. If you can imagine that each one of these things is a gift from the universe, you may find it easier to see how lucky you are. Silently thanking the universe throughout the day could help you value what you have even more.
Our lives are a gift from the universe. Even though it may seem that everything we have is something we have worked for, it is the universe that bestows such good fortune on us. Thinking about the situations we find ourselves in randomly and the opportunities that happen our way allow us to see the hand of the universe in our lives. Thanking the universe today will demonstrate your understanding of the treasures that are the blessings in your life and make you appreciative of all you have.
