You're just jealous cuz she paints purdier pictures than you do.......J/K I'm into realism more than impressionistic art. Laffy is into abstracts. Hehe. You probably mean "naturalism". Easy mistake, but a telling one. Realism in art refers to a realistic depiction of stuff like social reality. Naturalism is simply about copying what the eye sees.

I guess I meant it the way Wikki defines it, but I can live with either term: "Realism in the arts may be generally defined as the attempt to represent subject matter truthfully, without artificiality and avoiding artistic conventions, implausible, exotic and supernatural elements." "Naturalism in art refers to the depiction of realistic objects in a natural setting."
