What about people who die suddenly like in a car accident? I once read that they are confused and often wonder around the scenes of the crash. They'll be wondering at why all of a sudden, they cant speak to the people around them. Why all of a sudden, they are able to pass through solid objects. Afterwards, helpers arrive to explain to them that they have died and have to move on. But, it is said some of them insist on remaining there trying recontact earthly people hence the "ghosts" at sites of accidents. Anybody ever heard of this?

This sounds like Hollywood thoughts to me. Logically, why would a entity wish to stay at a horrid site when the whole Universe has just opened up to them? I would think that the entity would understand immediately that they are in a non physical state and begin to enjoy the lightness and ability to create at will. But we will never know until we are released from our physical forms, will we?

Yes, when people refuse to leave, either out of confusion or to deliver a message or out of attachment to something or whatever, then they become "ghosts" that hang out here in bodiless form until they either figure it out or are brought help and accept it. I've dealt with quite a few of those in my time. I like helping them. What about people who die suddenly like in a car accident? At least now divinity can see that this is not Hollywood stuff as we have people who really deal with such cases. But, why do human beings make such a big fuss about "ghosts" and relegating them to so-called horror movies. Most people associate the word ghost with terror and frightening stuff. Yet, some of these souls are really in need of help. It boggles my mind.

Well, the idea that there's someone there who cannot be seen is kind of a creepy thought I suppose. It's definitely not so creepy in practice as they are just people like everyone else. Sometimes ghosts bear anger or are trying to interfere with people's lives to some extent. This can be felt and can be very uncomfortable. So horror stories naturally take it to the next step. Anything that is out of the range of people's experience can seem unknown and therefore scary. And, of course, anything scary is a useful concept for a horror movie. When I was a child, some ghosts lived in my house and they would try to interact and mess with me. I did not recognize them at the time, but felt a palpable fear so intense I had to run into my parents room for nights on end. It was a terror, with nothing attached to it. I had no thought of ghosts. My parents put a name to it and we, fortunately, found a women who cleared them out. The fear never came back, so I guess it worked. Later on I started developing the ability to recognize them myself. So, I can understand the fear concept related to them, especially if they are not recognized or threaten a person's belief system. Wow, that sounds interesting!!! Helping disembodied souls. At least now divinity can see that this is not Hollywood stuff as we have people who really deal with such cases. I've watched this show on T.V called Rescue Mediums and it's these two women who "show wayward spirits into the light", that's their slogan. They have premonitions of the spirits before they visit the place, usually a house, where the haunting is occuring. Both women have "spirit guides" who help them from being overwhelmed by these spirits.
It looks a little dangerous because sometimes they pass out and have a different look in their face like they are momentarily possessed.
I've had my share of feeling things but it's very subtle. I'm not always sure if there is something there. In a way I guess I'm hoping that there is nothing there. I can't even imagine helping them. I wouldn't know where to start.

This issue of ghosts is a bit interesting. Here in my country, Zimbabwe, according to our Shona cultural beliefs, there is a belief called "ngozi". This is whereby if somebody murders someone, the ghost of the murdered person returns to avenge the murder. The ghost does this by killing the family members of the perpetrator, who happen to die mysteriously. It is said the deaths may include members of the person's whole clan coz here in Africa we live according to the concept of extended family. It is said that the person who committed the murder would be the last one to die unless he does something to remedy the situation. Now, to stop these deaths the murderer's family had to admit their crime and appease the "spirit" of the dead person by taking a young girl to the victim's family where she was supposed to get married to a man and bear children to replace the dead victim. (We have since abolished this ancient practice of paying using young girls, I mean, we now living in the era of human rights!!) . Anyway, what i wanted to ask is: can a ghost have this power of killing? I mean, lightmystic, you deal with angry ghosts, do they go to this extent of killing even innocent people? If they are able to, then isnt it that every human being must have the ability to determine his life. So why should some ghost have the power over your life?....

I don't think it would be brought to your attention unless you needed it to be. Everyone has a different function. That said, putting attention on these subtle realms can make them clearer, and that can be interest. IF you have the interest. I find that my interest in those realms only goes so far, unless something happens there or with me that makes it relevant. But then the interest is only there to the extent that it's relevant. I agree though, that if people are passing out, then perhaps they are not the most equipped to be dealing with those spirits at that point. Perhaps they need some extra help. It definitely strikes me as unhealthy. I've watched this show on T.V called Rescue Mediums and it's these two women who "show wayward spirits into the light", that's their slogan. I have never seen in it work that way at all, and so I would have to chalk it up to a legend. Often legends are useful in cultures for promoting morality. If someone is genuinely concerned about ngozi, then someone will be more likely to admit a murder rather than chance family members dying. So it's good for society. I won't say that could never happen, because how could I know? But I don't think it's very likely, and I've never seen anything or heard about anything even remotely close to that level of power and interference. This issue of ghosts is a bit interesting. OK I understand what you are saying. So you mean murder victims cannot avenge their deaths in a way?

Do you think it might be that which we perceive as spirits are little clumps of energy still vibrating slow enough to take form for some reason? Same goes for sounds... in my house toward the north west corner I hear women's voices from time to time speaking in a cadence which was unrecognizable to me as an English speaker. I told a local historian who says there was a Chinese laundry in that location in the 1800's. Interesting whatever it all means!

I find that anything that we perceive as anything ever are just vibrating clumps of energy that is consistent enough to have taken on it's own personality. That's certainly all we are. In terms of rate of vibrational frequency, I think that perception tends to be less physical at that point, but I don't find that it means I won't or can't perceive any specific thing. Make sense? Yes! We are vibrations and it is through our senses that we interpret vibrations. When there are no more senses of the human body, i.e. "death", what will there be?

Actually, my experience is that we are the source of all vibrating energy, we just misinterpret the individual to be what we are. I find that we don't perceive because we have physical senses, but we have physical senses because what we are perceives. After death, there will still be vibration energy, still be nonphysical senses, subtle bodies etc. Ultimately, the whole illusion of individuality is seen through. And then there just isness. No more individuality. Not that I'm meaning to imply there ever was individuality. Make sense? Yes! We are vibrations and it is through our senses that we interpret vibrations.
