Hi, I notice David Scoma has been removed from the listings on spiritualteachers.org and his website, 'JustPerception.net', also seems to have been all but removed - there's just a holding page there.
I'm not meaning to ask 'awkward' questions, here, I'm just genuinely curious, since he seems rather an interesting contributor to the spiritual scene.
Many thanks for any insights anyone can offer about this.

Good question. I am wondering too. Maybe Shawn can explain why he was removed from the Ratings page.

Removed at David's request.

There are two other posts here that discuss this. He seems to have removed everything on the web. He doesn't seem to answer emails either.

The new word from Scoma: "This is not a teaching site anymore, and I am not available for contact - WHAT-SO-EVER. Do not attempt to get in touch with me at all. I am no longer available for interaction in any capacity, so I must insist that you respect that and refrain from seeking me out. The previous site has been dismantled, and all former content is no longer available. The scope of that last site was severely limiting as it was tied to a narrow range of topics and means dictated by the work being done with people at that time. It was also limiting in that writing articles and working with people simultaneously was too much of a drain, and it was almost impossible to do both as time went on. Since this is no longer the case, I want to be able to try and continue writing in a broader fashion. In the interest of not having to start up another site, I am continuing to utilize this domain for simplicity sake more than anything else as it is already set up and ready to go – even though there may be potential residual effects (people wanting to work with me, write to me, etc.) due to what this site used to be and the scope of the material it contained. As a result, if I find that I am still being sought out or contacted for any reason by those who visit this site, I will stop posting content here." ...as of, what seems to be, two days ago. justperception.net/archives/category/articles

I'm blaming Ivory for scaring him off. He deleted his post here in this thread. If he deletes his blog, I'm going to motion to have your karma deducted by 5 on this site!

Ivory thanks for pointing to this. It's good medicine. A lot of newly liberated-enlightened-freed-whatever might benefit from taking a listen and heeding the advice.

Tyler, I really don't care about David's whereabouts. He doesn't want to be contacted and I respect that.
Max, last week my meditation teacher whooped me with his zen stick for coming to him with an insight and not contemplating it's application before talking to him. Sometimes I'll get all stoked on a realization but I'll move on before really understanding it and applying it. Him and David are talking about the same thing.
Yeah, I think once and a while one of the RT characters will actually say, "Wait a minute, what about what is ME? Maybe there's more to this afterall". Apparently most build websites, twitters, and annoy peeps on Facebook just like David said.

Well as an RT alum, I can say that I prefer to annoy peeps right here. Sorry!
Methinks there are many RT folks out there not taking the annoying route. It's that noisy 'vanguard' -- that's their identifier BTW (makes me think Life of Brian immediately) -- which is swaggering around with their new stink.
But fresh stinkiness is not RT's alone, there seems to be a whole new trend in stinking up rooms.

David's stuff is excellent, nad I'm glad that I got to take part of the material before the dismantling of the website. The new stuff that's up there continues to be useful and I hope that David's requests are being appreciated. I for one will not do anything that might discourage him from posting further // A p.s. what's RT? Ruthless Truth? Realised teacher? Probably the latter I guess

Just received an email from Davis saying his web site is offering paid audio subscriptions. So the reason why he disappeared for a few month was to figure out how to make money off this web site?

Interesting theory, and understandable why that might be the initial thought for some people, regardless of what I might say. However, that is definitely not the case. The reasons I stopped working with people were stated before, especially here on this forum, in great detail. In actuality, the entire site has been run and maintained for free - and the online endeavor was a lot of cash out of the pockets of other people who generously covered the cost of it's operation, which was quite a bit of money - and which they very kindly took care of. I want to be able to cover their costs, as they did everything for free for so many years. The 12.5 cents per audio is going to pay for the site, and make up for the upkeep for the years since the site was launched. I have a day job, and I support myself without living off of any student money at all, and I always have. The small amount of money generated from subscriptions is going to pay for/repay money generously given to keep the site going, and for it's ongoing maintenance - and that's all there is to it. Thank you very much, everyone, for your comments. Here is a very good web hosting site which only charges $4.95 per month. www.webhostinghub.com/I am sure everyone with a day job should be able to afford it.

david, read your posts(have been deleted along with the account?). anyway, thanks for the sincere offer to the public and apologize for the 'distraction'. "distraction" was my word, not david's. and you have misinterpreted the context. ---- I'm not familiar with David's work, what about it gets people so worked up? Sounds like he's been getting a bunch of unnecessary grief, from his selfless act of trying to help people.
