That's an incredible video! And people think that they're in control of what happens. Yeah, thanks for watching. I was quite enthralled by it as well, that's why I shared it. I don't think that people think that they are in control of what happens in the life cycle of a fig tree and it's symbiotic relationship with the fig wasp. Unless they have an interest in Natural History it doesn't mean anything to them at all. |

What I was pointing to was the incredible complexity and mind-boggling evolutionary adaptations that are shown in the video. People imagine that they're in control of various decisions they think are volitionally made, but they ignore the trillions of chemical/electrical activities that are occurring in their own bodies--activities that are happening in the same way as the decisions they think they make or the interactions between the fig tree and various creatures. The tree video simply illustrates the intellectual incomprehensibility and amazing nature of THIS and what it does. I often tease people by asking them how they grow the hairs on their body, or how they move their blood cells where they need to go, or how they think a thought? Same same. |
