Doctor of Philosophy can not prescribe medicines to cure ailments. Unlike Doctor of Medicine. Philosophy is not an exact science. Logic comes from mental speculation. There is no truth in it. Unlike medicine. Once the physician recommends you be given an anti-rabies vaccine after you were bitten by a rabid dog, you should follow else you die. If a Doctor of Philosophy tells me with logic I may not accept it. I won't die if I don't follow. Yet I believe in the soul and God. That they do exist. 😀

It's always grad students who have to do that and, well, with what they get paid .. it's no wonder .. I erred on that one. Sorry..I was in hurry to post that statement. I did not edit it when I left. I had to fetch my grand daughter from school. There after we went to the mall and eat lunch. I just arrived home answer you this topic. We'll let it slide just this once. Don't let it happen again.

Something's never change.. The only reality is Krsna consciousness. The rest is a phantasmagoria. This what Brahma told to the sage Srila Narada Muni.

Speaking of logic, you might want to check that equation. There is no truth in logic. It's all speculation. It is a fact the body dies. So, it's not immortal. Right? Right, but that's not what you said.

It's basis is practical experience and reason derived from that experience. Unfortunately, must of experience is not what it seems to be, so the logician is led astray.

I observe when you discuss issues in this forum. You dissect like cadaver each of words stated. You should run an English class not spirituality. Spirituality means convincing people of our existence as spiritual beings. That we are all connected to God, the creator of worlds/living entities. You must teach them to realize it.

You failed to notice it earlier, which is why you posted this: "There is no truth in logic. It's all speculation. It is a fact the body dies. So, it's not immortal. Right?" It's okay, it's not a crime.

I'm not parsing words. You described the whole discipline of logic as speculative philosophy, which tells me you don't understand the basis and function of logic regardless of what words you use to describe it. Your words tell me what you believe and what you realize and what you are confused about. They tell others the same, so be cautious.

So when you say a woman plus a man equals two. The answer may also be three. The woman is carrying in her womb a baby. That is how logic works.

But I see you calling out and addressing flawful logic all the time. Relative falsity is a matter of degree, and .. well .. sometimes the fallacies in service of the spiritual malarkey can get pretty thick. I'd say correct logic has it's place in those times.

There's nothing logical about the conclusion that 1+1=3 people. Is that why you think logic fails? Flawful logic doesn't say anything about real logic.
